So the old style Mars Hydro LED says that is will cover a 2'x2' area in flower. Seems reasonable except that the unit is rectangular.... Anyways I'm really liking the light so far and so are the plants. My question is how "Deep" do they penetrate for decent bud quality? Should i lollipop my plants or remove some of the lower branches or just let them go all out? They are about 24-28" tall right now. Thanks!

i have a pair of them, my biggest plants under them were 43" and 41".
i would love to find a could of the older 300 watt like mine and run 4 of them.

Well mine are about 36" now. I ran out of head room so i had to bend them over. But it looks to me like some of the lower stuff is doing pretty good. I would say the depth coverage is "acceptable" to maybe 24" or so. This is with the plants about 3-4" from the light.
i kept mine a minimum of 12" but then, i had the space. watch for light burn, you may have to bend them more!
Im not sure why but i never got any light burn. I ran these with a photo plant about 6" away and never had a problem. I did notice that one of the fan leaves on my current grow was like less than 1" away. Any i got some burn but it took like 3 days!!
