Lighting 39V 2.1A COBs good/cheapish drivers?

These aren't correct EFF numbers. I have seen on another forum 5-9% lower. Same CRI, same colour, same wattage, Vf etc... But not EFF.

Is it just me or do I get (with very good intentions) wrong information posted? and when I factor in my f ups, life becomes hard when your trying to configure a tailor made set up. So can anyone answer this... (very simple question)...
What is the product number of a citizen clu048 3500k 90cre and what is the forward voltage? Sound simple? It's got me confused! Lol!

page 6.. if you put 2.8a in you need 39volts

Nope. Not getting it! Do the volts change in relation to the amps it's driven at? Think I need to re visit growmau video again!

That makes no sense to me either because i have 4 1212s driven at 1400a by an hlg-185h-1400b and according to the specs they would need 37v each so 4x37=148v and the hlg-185h is rated 143v so my cobs should not even fire up but they work perfect

The resistance of the cobs doesn't change (enough to be noteworthy for this) but you want to push more current through. To do that you need more voltage Link

@2Stoned2Care my hlg 120 is rated for 148v max but can push up to 175v without hitting the overvoltage shutdown. Yours can push a max of 170v.
Same for my setup. I'm also over the recommended max load when I crank them up fully. If I wanted to play it safe I'd have to stay at ~800ma.

Cheers for that info now it makes total sense :pass:
