New Grower 3rd grow: samsaura thunder bloody mary

View attachment 152486View attachment 152485View attachment 15248428 days and I still don't understand why 4 plants that have had everything the same can be so different. The center pic center plant is the shot that started to yellow. This started before the first fert, but seems to be getting a little better since the second fert. The akr is stuck at 8in after the first fert of 5ml/gal of FF grow big. Maybe I should not have raised my led based on the tallest plant. Could that be why the others stayed so short? Anyway I am done with Samsara, I will stay away from them until I after I have grown others. More than likely I have done something wrong. The tall girl on the right front is 20in and the short girl left front is 10in. I still can't makeup my mind about the light thing, two 135w or one 180w. It seems the more I look the more I change my mind. Everybody makes the best leds.

The 180w blackstar will be ordered friday, along with the Hanna 98103 meter. I can't prove it but I believe the agromax 135w ufo has lost intencity and is too small to cover all the plants.

i have the 240 blackstar and its bossome, i add side cfls for extra light on the sides

For the small difference in price, I would go with a 240 watt BS over the 180.

What you are seeing with your plants is the variation between phenotypes. Autos are still relatively new and not 100% stabilized yet. Wild growing Ruderalis displays a wide variety of phenotype variations, from tall bushy plants, to plants with 3 fingered leaves, to runts, to plants with 3 or more main colas. As selective breeding continues the odd phenos are being bred out. In a few more years autos will be a lot more stable and we'll be seeing less of these variations.

Best thing to do is to raise your smaller plants up and maintain an even canopy top. That way all the plants will receive the same light intensity.

congrats on getting that Hana meter and light. I really want to get one, but I think I will have to hold off for a little while. My current pen is holding it's calibration very well so I am thankful for that much. Keep the grow going and pics coming in!

Thanks Muddy, I value your advice and all the AFN friends I have made. I am sorry to see Budda leave and I wish him well in what ever he gets into. I will try and make the 240w BS fit my budget, but the meter is a real must. You make a very good point, also this light will be around for many grows (I hope) and the light has always been the weak point in my tent. When I bought my seeds I tried to get seed from several breeders but Samsara had three I just thought would be kickass. Minmatars' grow has helped me and it is fun watching, I don't have much experience with the forum thing but I am starting to look around more and thats' what helped me make up my mind about the light. I am not into chatting much but maybe that will change. I would like to change my thread to reflect that I am now growing shot adrenlin (sp) not TBM, can that be done? If so how?

View attachment 153010View attachment 153009View attachment 153008Day 30 and the girls are looking better. The AKR has grown almost an inch after doing nothing for a few days and the yellow problem child is getting some better color. I am taking the plants out of the tent every night and moving them as well tieing branches to give a little more room. Most of the girls are drinking enough so that I can give them a plain watering between weekly ferts.

The meter will be here monday but I am going to buy the 240w blackstar for christmas and use it in my next grow. I could afford the 180w bs but Muddy convinced me the 240w bs was a better pick. With shipping and the hanger kit the price will be about $310.00, sounds a bit high so I will use the time to shop some more. I had hoped to harvest all the girls at the same time but the akr will be a week or two behind I guess.

if your gonna spend two hundred why not spend three, your already gonna be invested, ive loved my BS240 since the first time i plugged her in! Shell pay off in the long run,i havent even spent 10 dollars on electricity for three months for the 20/4 light cycle. after a few grows with mine i hope to upgrade to a Cali Lightworks setup.

View attachment 153451View attachment 153450View attachment 153449The BS 240w will be under my christmas tree, I am scheduled to work overtime three days next week and the wife is all for the light. I asked why the change of heart and she claims the sex is better when I smoke the good shit. If I had only known. The akr (center plant) is growing almost an inch per day and the tall girl is almost 24in. The shortest shot has more buds than the others and I am starting to really like this grow.
