Hi Solomon,
That was a great read, and quite an inspiring grow in that some time ago you averted a potential disaster, and have already harvested some smokeable produce. I've never found the smell of outdoor plants to be that great, but I grow at 55N in a mostly cool and cloudy climate. I think also that, as you found, the smell is only really likely to be bad towards harvest time. I have struggled to get plants to ripen to that stage before succumbing to mould (I'm hoping to do a bit better this year), so I'm happy to get whatever I can.
It is surely better to congratulate yourself for the successful harvest that you have had than to chastise yourself for not keeping the plant, getting busted, and getting no harvest.
I have grown a few Polar Express by Auto Seeds and have found them to have a relatively low odour, of the product as well as the plant, and they seem to grow pretty well for me so far. I've had the odd one which needed to be forced to flower, and I haven't always managed to same level of potency with those I've grown (I don't know if this is variation between them or differences in the growing conditions). I found a few reviews on here suggesting that they would be low odour, which is why I tried them in the first place, and I would get them again, particularly for indoors where smell is more of an issue for me.
I have a Mazar which has been in the greenhouse for about two and a half months now, but it really struggled in the cool weather so it is a long way off harvest, perhaps a month, maybe more. There is no appreciable smell to the buds yet, although they are reasonably well formed now. I expect that the difference is lower temperatures and less sunshine.
