New Grower 400 Hps soil grow with 3 auto Blueberry and 3 auto Snowstorm #2.

Day 35 -
I'm having a fun time trying to find a balance between the ability to administer 1/2 nutes and needs of the girls but I'm up to the challenge. The girls are now flowering quite well and a few are having signs of Nitrogen deficiency. I'll hit them again with 3/4 strength nutes today and hopefully it will straighten them out. Otherwise they seem to be happy. I'm watering them every other day 600mL per plant. Any comments are appreciated.

Next set of pics will be a week from today on day 42. Peace out.

Looking good.. You're on the right track uping the nutes..they should be able to handle 3/4 strength without any problem. Good luck

Sweet grow man! How much yield are you expecting per baby approximately? And what lights do you have?

Thanks for the props there guys. I would be happy with the minimal amount Dutch Passion says these strains will produce which is 50 dried grams per plant. In the past with non auto fem plants I've pulled off 14 1/2 oz of dried buds from the same number of plants under a 400w HPS (same as this run)... but in that show I had more room (1 1/2 m x 1 1/2m x 2m) and I trained every plant. Time will tell in this show. I'll be stoked when it is cured and ready, as I've not had a toke this year living in the shadow of the Alps. Peace

Well I've upped the nutes an hopefully they are coming around. I still have signs of deficiency... yellow and drooping bottom leaves... girls might be too light in color also. My pH sluice from the Blueberries was 6.8 and for the Snowstorms was 7.0 the last feeding. I'm thinking of flushing them with straight 6.5 pH this feeding with double the volume of the 6.5 Litres pots, even though the sluice is clearish. That or I will hit them with molasses in the mix as I have been for every other feeding. Here is some pics of them in normal light. Any comments and advice on which way I should take them would be great. They are due for a feeding so the leaves are looking a bit droopy.
One shot of them all.

That's them in a nutshell. What say you?

I decided to not flush them and just hit them with molasses again. Sounds crazy but I'm thinking full strength nutes in two days. We will see what happens. I'll be switching up my nutes afterwards to more Bloom and less Grow for the following 3 -4 weeks. Then straight Ripen for 2 weeks followed up with 2 weeks of flushing. Peace out eh.

Welcome aquarius, loving your grow looking good mate. I've got a snowstorm in soil at the moment weeks behind yours but she's really taking off been very impressed with it so far. Just a couple of questions for you mate...does the homemade Co2 bottle work? sounds like a cheap and easy way of upping the Co2 just wondering how effective it is? also with regards to the snowstorm what are you predicting (hoping for!) yield wise?

Thanks ska'd... I'd like to say I'm thrilled with it currently but after the feeding today the girls are getting even more yellow underneath. Piss me off... I guess I should have skipped the molasses. As for your questions... Back in Canada I usually use a co2 burner which is great for a larger area as the temp dissipates. I'm not sure the co2 bottle with the sugar and yeast makes any significant difference but it makes me feel it does. I have brewer buddies that laugh at my efforts. In regards to the yield... I'd be happy with the minimal amout that Dutch Passion states at 50gr dried per plant... of course I expect more but regardless I'll be happy with a toke. I've not had one this year. Anyways... good luck with your show... I'm scratching my head now about mine... these autos are uber sensitive... more so than the regular photos I'm used to. By next feeding with nutes I figure my ladies will be half yellow.

Piss me off... the older pH meter my mother in law gave me was totally off calibration. I confirmed this when I picked up a drop test yesterday. I've been rolling at 8+... super alkaline. My impulse to flush them was a good one but I trusted the faulty meter. My plants are potentially locked out. I've got more yellowing of the leaves today with spotting. I'll flush them out tomorrow. I've taken some more pics of the situation. I'm still positive I can bounce them back. Glad to be back on track. Peace.

well, I certainly think you're on course for a nice bit of smoke despite the yellowing Aquarius, I grew some polar express's on my last grow and halfway through flowering they developed what looked like severe nitrogen deficiency, didn't think they'd make it but they limped through to harvest and despite the fact they looked truly haggard at the end they still offered up a quality smoke. despite being sensitive to nutes Auto's are hardy little buggers and seem to withstand a fair amount. Good grow karma your way Aquarius keep us posted on the snowstorms mate.
