So that Kingbrite is 25”x10”? If i were to get one of those should i get two, or can i do one of those and a strip recommended by @Builder0101? That’s what i meant by mixed. I’ve got 7.1 sq feet to cover, so one 236w KB would be 33w/sqft. Is this even a relevant measurement anymore?
If your question is can you ad a light that is unique to your existing light absolutely. the strip I am adding bears no resemblance to my main light. The new light will give me the added flower footprint I need as well as introducing far red, uv, and ,ir. Actually my main light has some IR. The new light will technically cover a 2x4 (8sf) I like to think of light as it pertains to flower coverage. The new light will effectively cover 6sf for flower which is all I need. The caveat to that is the light bleed between the 2 fixtures will create an additional flower footprint I believe the actual additional flower footprint I will realize will be closer to 8 sf. If that makes sense. For 100 bucks and all I have to do is drill holes in the Heatsink for my hangars I found a great deal for myself which gives me exactly what I need. I'll have 700w in a 4x4. 43.75 ppf/sf.
Hope this helps
If i was buying a light right now it would probably be one of those new Lumatek ones, those are some badass lights. OR i'd maybe try to get one of those australian boards with nichia diodes(even better then samsung) from cutter or growlightsaustralia. I really like the spectrum choices on those. Also can't deny the fantastic prices on diy strips... But... I sold my SP-250 and got myself 3x 65 watt cxm-22 3500K CRI 90 gen 4 single cobs last year and they've been exceeding my expectations so far, heck i have to run them at 40 watts a piece for autos(2x4) when running all 3 that's how powerful they are. Very very pleased and not planning to change anytime soon, COB's still kick it. Just my 2 cents.
