New Grower 420 soil anybody ever heard of it

And I did not soak my seeds in there stuff. Hell, I already forgot what it's called...

New decision to make and would love the thoughts of the members...

I'm only doing 2 plants and I'm doing them in 3 gallon pots instead of the 5 gallon pots. I've grown this strain before and was very pleased with that pots size for those plants.

Question 1 : I've got 5 gallon pots, should I use them as instructed or not ?

Question 2 : On one pot, should I just use the water and not adj. the Ph like they say ? The other pot I'm going to at least adj. the water... Already checked the Ph of my R/O water. It's running around 7.9

Question 3 : Should I only use the liquid food on the one pot, or both ?

I wish I had the room to do 3 plants. One in normal soil and fed the way I feed. But I've already got to photo's in their seedling stage. And there going in the tent to be ScrOGed. So I do need some time for those to veg.

So how does everybody want to see the testing done ?

You guys wont believe this...

In all the years I've been growing, I've NEVER lost a seed in the pot... Until yesterday...:No:

I planted both the Paki Ryders in the 420 soil and on the second pot, I dropped the seed from the cup of water, in the pot somewhere. I looked and looked but couldn't find it... It's not on the floor and I'm like 99% sure, it's in the pot somewhere. I just hope it close to the center... What a newbie mistake huh ? I guess we wait and see where it comes up, if at all. If it don't, I'll put another one in there in a couple of days.

I try to always handle seeds over carpet so if I drop one they don't roll off ... I'd ph water for both pots and try to run one w/o nutes but if it starts looking weak I'd fertilize it ... I have no doubt there are super soils that can support a plant w/o fertilizers but a little fertilizer can make the difference between a great harvest and a just OK one ....

Sorry I've been non responsive for a few days... Been harvesting field crops from dawn til, well, late as hell...

Ok, this soil is a bust... No good foe growing anything !!!!!!!!!!!!!!

It smelled like it was dough out of somebodies basement. After I got the soil, I watered it and put my seed in. The next morning, both pots were covered in white mold...

I will say this. It was money well spent to find out about a product. Good or bad...

So, don't get this 420soil. It's crap and all hype.

I checked out that youtube video with the guy testing the soil,must be early on in the grow as they aren't very big as of yet. it looks tempting but I've read their webpage twice now and I just got a uneasy vibe from it,can hear a faint warning buzzer way back in my stoner brain lol.

Sorry to hear that ripster , it was an expensive lesson but I'm sure u saved others a headache and some money. Just sounded to good to be true.

I know this is an older thread but was researching this soil after reading about it. My main concern was if it would be too hot for autos. I spoken with the company a bit and did order some soil to test out with as well. Will make a grow log with it.

I asked about the white mold looking stuff and if this was a control issue, their answer was:

"The white mold shows that the beneficial bacteria are alive and well! That is one of the best signs to have for true living organic soil and it is certainly not a bad thing."

imo its always a good rule when using any living soil especially a new one youve never used,is to use the Plug style or Tier method of planting into it.imo the white mold can be a good thing,at the same time not knowing the source and how its stored n all that it could be bad.But imho Id just remix it up very very well hit it with a living tea in a tote and cook it for a couple weeks or so, then use it.but thats me.Best of luck sauce dude.Ive looked at that soil a few times in the past.Id love to see how ya do."AFN smoke out"

Thanks bud Going to try that and coco. Might do a ebba and flow as well in with it Not sure just yet heh.. Waiting for the rest of the stuff I ordered to come in.
