This is a syrup grow. But I also have 4 SoMango autos in the tent. They are an unreleased strain from Buddha seeds. Currnetly SoMango is a large, fruity, outdoor photoperiod plant here in CA and Buddha seeds has made an auto version out of it. I've had the seeds for over a year but just never got a chance to grow some. I love how early they are flowering compared to the syrup and the structure of the plant is amazing also. So I decided to not grow any syrup next round and just do SoMango and candy kush for my autos.

Got a couple issues that I gotta address ASAP with the grow room. Could use some suggestions on what to do...

The outside night temps right now are in the 20's and it's causing some serious condensation on my ducting intake. The problem is it drips onto the top of my tent. Does anyone use insulated ducting, and will that solve my problem of condensation??

Also I'm looking for a fan speed controller that also runs by temp or timer. I've tried the CAP products day/night fan speed controller and the temperature/speed controller but both have a bad pulsing noise when they run on the slowest setting and it's loud enough to hear at night even in the tent and room. I need my inline fans to just turn down to the slowest setting from 2pm-6pm every day so I don't need to be home to do it manually. Anyone have experience or ideas for me?

Any sort of help or responses to these problems would be greatly appreciated. The ducting is an issue that I need to fix yesterday, so please let me know about insulated ducting.

Got more germinated seeds planted today, 8 SoMango and 5 candy kush. I really hope this candy kush from auto seeds is a true kush. The purple kush from Buddha seeds is great but it's got nothing to do with kush. I hope this is the auto that can fulfill my need for a true auto kush plant. Mmmmmmm kush.

I'm cutting back on the amount of autos I do for now until I see how my photoperiod grow goes. So those 13 I planted today will be in the veg room with my photos for their whole life cycle.

I couldn't think of any other possible solution to my ducting/condensation problem other then to just try out insulated ducting, so I went and bought some. It was the only box of 6in the hydro store had, 25ft cost $48, so it's expensive stuff. I'm not near any Home Depot or anything like that so I had to pay the hydro store price. I got it installed right away, replacing the regular ducting for the tent intake. Seems to be working just as I planned. My inline 6" fan still has condensation on that though, but at least it's not 6ft worth of heavy dripping onto the top of the tent.

I will look around again but I didn't find anything before about insulated ducting. I will make this an info post on another thread because this is some useful info here for grow room construction

I was gona say try a big towl and some tape..cotton towl..just need to wisk away the moisture and spreed it out enough to be able to dry.The air going in must be really cool.Should be some sort of spary you can put on it also?

I thought about all that, but changing a towel every day is more then I wanted to do. The air coming into the room at night is in the 20's and obviously the room is in the mid 70's so there will always be some condensation. I just talked to a friend that recommends against the insulated ducting because it didn't stop his condensation problem, instead the insulation part of the ducting molded because it absorbed all the moisture instead of being a nice barrier between the cold and hot temps. So I gotta keep an eye on mine. Although he has 16k watts in his room and more ducting, so I hope it won't affect my smaller room the way it did to his big opp.
Will keep updating about my situation with this.

Now I have to replace my cardboard box which the hepa filter sits in because that will mold or fall apart soon due to the condensation coming off of the metal 6" Y connector I have at the top of it. Here are some pics of what im talking about. The ducting you see is the new insulated stuff and the box is where the hepa filter brings in fresh air from outside .

Everything is flowering in the tent! Really happy with the canopy and look of everything. The plants that look further along are the SoMango's. They also have serious resin production already going on. The tent stinks so good when it's opened. Should be harvesting around Nov 14th, then flipping the tent with photo strains (check out my photoperiod thread to see my other room and what's going in there next).
