I have asked experts about wind generation, but they said it's unreliable. Do you have information regarding this subject?

Also, you might think about a Light Assisted Greenhouse setup. That way you use the actual sun when it’s available, and supplement lighting to extend the hours of light.

This would probably be the best choice for a setup. He could tarp it too to make it a light dep for growing photos. You'll get some popeye arms throwing that tarp around though.

Didn’t Derek end up devising an interior curtain type thing? That seemed like a good idea for a personal sized greenhouse.

I honestly can't remember the inside of his setup (and I was there, lol.) He was trying to sell his design until he realized it already existed

hey @RastaDaddy . I live very off road/off grid. Alternative energy system is the only way I get electricity, I have solar, wind and a gas generator to maintain batteries in a charged state, ready to use anytime. I start my season April Fools in the window grow, waiting for greenhouse planting time. Spring sun at a killer angle, shining in 10 to 12 hrs a day over the season. Simultaneously running 2- 30w full spec led grow lights 17/7.
I have a pretty hefty investment, but I've been building power for over 30 yrs. My capital investment is done, except for batteries, the most expensive component, need to be replaced 7 to 8 years.
DYI wind is very cheap, but needs to be monitored, she is a wild bitch at times. Solar is plug and play, simple and easy. And solar panels are cheap now, at least before tariff time.
My grow window is 2x5' foot print. Small. Lighting is energy intensive in a larger grow. Key here is enough solar panels and batteries to store energy for use when sun is not out. Don't have to go whole hog at first, can keep adding panels over time. And gasoline generator can take care of biz in lean times.
I live 67N and pride myself (shouldn't do this I know) about how little gas and oil I use over the year. Mostly living by wits and prowess.

I'm planning a little cabinet just for this operation, around 440 sq ft, 40 sq m for Europeans
And around 20 kW of PV panels, maybe 15-20 kW of batteries... Also, a 5-10 kW gas generator for lean times... It should be enough for a medium-scale operation. I would be happy to talk about the subject, of course . How is life off-grid?
