Lighting 6x marshydro 300w question

I just got done purchsing 6x 300w led units for 400 usd. They are rated per unit at 170-180w. My question is how many flowering autoflower plants can i get in a 10ft x 4ft 7ft high area Using 5 gallon buckets. Thanks much!

I would go w/ between 6-12 plants ... you could squeeze more in but if you choose large varieties I think 12 would be the max w/ 5 gal pots ... a lot depends on your experience ... if you're new your plants will be on the small side for the first grow or two ... once you've done a few grows you'll find 2 good plants will produce as much or more than 4 small plants ... If it were me I'd set 12 as the top # and start w/ 2 lights ... as the plants grow and you need to spread them out you can add more light ... six lights will produce a good deal of heat ... 60 gals of good soil would break my bank .... If you're new, I'd start w/ 2 lights and 3-4 plants ... after a grow or two I'd expand ... but that's just me. Good luck w/ your grow.


w/ that amount of space you could do a perpetual grow ... start 4 and wait 4-5 weeks and start 4 more ... after a grow or two you'll have it dialed in to where your tasks such as planting and watering and harvest and drying are ongoing instead of harvesting a whole room at one time ...

Thank you so much for the reply! I was too also concerned about the heat but i love your perpetual idea. I have a veg room with some t5s and a flower room with the leds. The only reason i bought 6x leds is because it is cheaper than buying 1 1200w led and i have a long narrow space instead of a 5x5 or 10x10. Also this will be my 2nd grow and it is gunna be over my buddies house this time. Another question if you dont mind answering is we are using the air conditoner dehumidifier water for the water source haha :smoking: and we will put in calmag+ we have tap water its just we do not want to chance it and kill it with chlorine or if we have chlormine or however u spell it. Is it cool to use that water? Isnt it just like distilled?? Again thank you for the reply Chester and are u Chester copper pot from youtube lol?

I can get 16 5Gs in a 48x48 yet thats a pain.. even with a litle room .. i like a spread somewhat get in with the girls.. yes 6 should be a good start even 4 ..see how it goes first..go all out and have major issues,you cant resovle as fast.. get use to issues etc.. then mive on up. ..imaging having two infants you just started with one.. now you babysitting. .you thought ehh 1 2 3 .i can handle it.... I'm not sure about AC water and I can't imagine there would be enough of it ... my friend uses spring water and it works great ... do you have a source of spring/ground water ... I buy RO water around town for a quarter a gallon ... do you have such in your area ? Better off w/ 6 lights ... I'll have to check out Chester Copperpot ...
