Iv got 2 8 week old lemon haze autos by emerald triangle seeds, 1 is into its third week of flowering and is of no concern. The other one is now becoming annoying. 8 weeks old, still vegging and taking up all the space in my grow room, its feeling a little flimsy and im really tempted to pull it. Anyone had any experience with an auto thats gone 8 weeks before flowering ? I ran a think different a couple of years ago that did a 6 week veg but not 8. If i was aware of this i would have grown out photogenic plants. :Grrr:

any advice? Thanks in advance

Hi! This can happen when and if the breeder hadn't fully locked down the autoflowering trait. There was some previous rumores of this happening with Ultra Lemon Haze from Auto Seeds, but I dunno if Emerald has any relation to that line. You could do a few things at this point :)

If you're just sick or it, you can pull it and start something else. But, with extended veg time, it could have an increased yield if ya keep it. So, you could do any or a combination of these things: switch the lighting to 12/12 or even try 14on/10off, you could put that one into total darkness for 2 days then to 12/12 or 14/10, you could give it a strong dose of bloom stimulator (not bloom nute) something like General Organics Bio Bud. Probably a combination of lighting and bloom stimulator would be best :)

Cheers for the advice bro. Thinking about it the plant has been taking a lot more nutrients than all other autos i have grown out in the past, even when it was a seedling i couldnt push any of the other autos past 1/4 strength but that 1 plant was taking 1/2 strength with no signs of stress.

The problem is i also have a chocolope, silver haze and 2 delahaze in their first 2 weeks of veg in the same tent, if the breeder hasnt got the autoflowering trait into the plant it isnt going to flower under 20/4 i gather. So i dont know what to do :s

Yeah that's a tough one... Switching the lights for all of them will reduce the others' yields and might not be worth it. If ya have a way to put it in total darkness like in a box for a couple days, that could get it jump started... But honestly that's more of a trick for photoperiod plants, but that's what this one might be accidentally hahaa. Might be time to email the breeder Emerald too. Most breeders are pretty good with emails, but usually take a few days. I'm not one that likes culling plants early, but hey, if it's for the greater good, maybe it's time for her to go haha.

Will it only flower under 12/12 ? Think i will leave it a few days and if no progress ill have to give her away or chop.
