Lemon Z - Dutch Passion - Growing Contest 24/25 - EU/UK/US

My last 2 LomonZ are taking over my 5x10 attic deck. It's my first outdoor grow in this climate, so no idea when they'll flower. I suppose it will be sometime in July before the days get short enough to trigger them?View attachment 1746398
Guess so indeed, at what latitude are you living? In which area/state?

Usually it is somewhere around July/August before the days are short enough to induce flowering but this highly depends on the latitude you are living and the daylight hours that correspond with that area.

Thanks, Antonio. I'm in western NY state, the "Niagara Frontier." I can see Ontario, Canada, from my roof. Latitude is nearly 43°N, so over 15 hours daylight today. Solstice is next week, so that's about all we get.

I have one clone from LemonZ still alive I was able to reveg a cutting I found on ground while harvesting months ago. Decided to see if I could reveg in time to get it into the ground to see how it does outdoors in the north east of USA. This has been strange year in terms of early flowering, in Virginia many of my friends plants were prematurely flowering I believe from a week in late April where temps were as low as 34 here at nite no higher then 40 degrees F. I had one plant that started to flower weeks ago not big at all and 8 more still growing normal no sign of flower yet. First year it affected me and honestly if had to choose one of the 9 I'd chose the same I already had lower expectations for that one.

Nice! That's about a similar latitude we have in Southern France, Northern Italy. Usually plants go into flowering around End of July/Middle of August, depending on the genetics/phenotype. Will be interesting to see when yours start flowering. Please keep me posted!

Still small though, but she has some time to grow still!

Might be good to water her well and provide her with some nutrients from time to time.
This will help her growing into a decent lady and still being able to provide you with some proper bud!

Thanks for the advice @Antonio_DutchPassion. Up until I put her in the ground last week I've kept her in a red solo cup due to room in my grow space and not knowing if I could get it into ground in enough time to produce. I don't expect her to get as big as some of my other outdoor varieties but I know whatever it yields will be that top notch flavor and smoke that I've had on my mind since I ran out a month ago. Also I'm not out much since it would've probably been swept up and thrown away, but I am the type of person who likes to get the most out of everything and also try something new while learning along the way. I've only reveged one other time and was curious if I could get it into the ground in time. The whole experience with LemonZ was great and still continues, she is just now coming out and branching off since the transplant and a good balanced feeding yesterday. Even the smallest yield of this gal is a win to me and I don't plan to share her unless it's during a sesh with some close friends or family.:smokeout:
