Lighting 90cri vs 80cri

Don't forget if you grow in small place, it's better to go with 80 CRI (less stretch).

Ok, these are not mine, these are from a citi clu48-1212 3500k 80 to 90cri comparison on another site.. I have been following this for awhile.. The guy states that the 90 cri are a little farther along and obviously you can see that the plants are larger.. Also you can see that the 90cri is showing a lower par in the 400-700 range, yet plants are bigger and farther along... Lights are kept the same distance from the canopies on both sides.. Same clones, same nute res..

Now as i said this is. Not my experiment.. But there is a few others out there with similar results.. I myself have 16* 3500k 80cri chips... But after seeing these im swapping 4 of my chips in the center of each panel to 2700k 90cri...
Take what you will from this, please dont shoot the messanger..
Cheers

does anyone know are the 90cri less efficient than the 80cri?

In terms of lumens per watt yes I think they are. In terms of beasty plants per watt no I don't think they are.

On paper 80 are better and produce more lumens, in reality 90 CRi rock as can be seen above.

Buddy says the 90cri will be coming down first...
Cheers

That doesn't really surprise me at all. I kinda suspected the 90s were actually reducing the grow length.

Which is pretty bloody awesome when you think about it.
