Howdy coco growers
One of my new tips. Only took a few years to realize a turkey baster would be one of my most important tools. Think I read about it along the way but did not give the turkey baster much thought--I am slow!
Run-off in coco is super important (more later with some tips) minimum 10% and up to 30% if detected a possible salt/ph issue. Coco is not a candidate for mid-grow flush. Avoid--will provide more info later. As Jorge Cervantes states: Coco is unique and higher PPM/EC--paradoxically--solves what often appears as K/mg and calcium def. Will update this important tidbit in a few days. If you have his book you can read about his recommendations.
As you know coco grown plants can explode. A plant that is generally a bush in soil could be a tree in coco.
In past, had to figure out how to slide post out of tent. Would generally hold posts over a big bowl for run off. Gets sloppy then plants branches get caught in something..and on and on.
Once plants are in full flower they stay put. Rotate a quarter turn each feed. We need to inspect plants closely up til they are in flower--for them bananas! Most of my serious intersexing happens within two weeks of flowering and at end (nothing to pollinate).
Use this to suck up over run from saucers with pots in place. You can get them great big and with attachments.
I use a cheapy and saves a good 45 minutes with four to six plants.
