Known Phenotypes:

1.: short, compact, fastly blossoming, indica-dominant Phenotype #1
2.: long, stretched, fastly blossoming, indica-dominant Phenotype #3
3.: long, compact, fastly blossoming, sativa-dominant Phenotype
4.: long, stretched, fastly blossoming, sativa-dominant Phenotype #2

I had one pheno get to a little over three feet but for the most part they stayed under three tho. The one that was over three feet was done in DWC and the rest in Fox Farm potting soil. All had nice buds and frosty. I never had one get huge indica type size leaves. None looked like any of those plants in the pics.

although the pics are obviously the same just retouched does not mean G13 did anything intentionally malicious.. Maybe one of their test growers did it and they didnt realise. Maybe they did blatantly steal it. If they dont make it right then I wouldnt trust them.

Well, I am not a breeder, but If I was, the pics I used to advertise the seeds would be the most smoking hot version of the plants grown under the optimal conditions they were bred in.
It is hard to match that without knowing those conditions.

And if I had been in the business forever and regular advertized and entered contest and such, I damn sure wouldn't bother using someone else's picture to rep the strain.

I personally suck at taking pictures. I sometimes get a good shot or two but ill most likely use photos from my test growers journals for my strain pics.
I would love to use my pics and I feel like taking a damn picture shouldnt be that hard but it sometimes is. it frustrates me because ill take 20 pics and not one will do justice to the look of the plant..its so frustrating!

I gotta go smoke a J now...

Pineapple express or not in those pics I would love to buy some more G13 pineapple express beans and grow them again. I think the price went up since my last purchase.

I am just supposing here. What if your friend copied the G13 pic of the Pineapple Express and then tweaked the colors rather than the way he said it. Think he is trying to pull your leg?

The friend picture is a wider shot. If it happened that way the friend's shot would be cropped equally, if not tighter.

Research the image...pretty easy these days.

So a breeder on another forum I go on is claiming G13 lab seeds stole his strain picture, tweaked the colors and is using his picture as their 'Pineapple express' strain.

You be the judge.

His strain:

May we inquire as to who the original breeder is? Seems very one sided dragging G13 through the mud here without knowing at least who the accuser is. And why is he not here appealing to our forum?

Where did you find this photo with that Pineapple Express with the yellow font on it? I've just been to the Attitude, they are using that photo (seems a bit blurry on their site actually) but that font is not in the picture.

Went to Herbies, they have an entirely different picture altogether for their G13 Labs Pineapple Express photo. Same with their auto picture.

Also, in all the G13 Labs Pineapple Express listings I've found, Pineapple is one word. In that picture you've posted, they have it as "Pine Apple", or two words (there's clearly a space there in the picture.) Are you sure that's a legit picture brother?

I've grown their Pineapple Express photo and auto versions; they were fantastic smoke and true to the flavor and taste that you would expect of something called "Pineapple Express." Have grown a buttload of their Auto AK, which is dynamite knock-out smoke and hardy plants.

:dunno:

I'd recommend their genetics to anyone here based on what I've grown of theirs without blinking.

I've got a picture of the one photo I've grown of the G13 P.E.; was my 2nd time every growing a photo plant and my first time ever using something that wasn't bag seed, so be gentle

That's her in the middle:

I guess from my standpoint; not knowing who your buddy is or what he's done on his end to contact G13 Labs with any sort of cease-and-desist or even letting them know "umm hey that's my plant and my picture and my strain, what are you guys doing," I would give G13 Labs the benefit of the doubt that it was a mistake made somewhere along the line. I'm purely speculating, of course, but no more speculating on what a friend of a friend says on a forum not mentioned. See where I'm going with this? :dunno:

Is it? Shouldn't you be able to come up with the answer easily then? I'm not sure how to do that. I'm pretty computer/Internet illiterate compared to most. I do, however, have a decent background in photography and can look at this situation without bias, and the photo's cropping issues clearly stand out. I think evol has the best hypothesis about what could have happened.
