New Grower A couple of questions...

Hey guys I was excited to see you guys write back to me on the introduction page. It's cool to meet other people with the same interest as me!:group:

Anyways, I have a few questions for you guys I have just recently bought:
1x Barney's Farm Pineapple Express AUTO
1x Dinafem Seeds White Widow AUTO
1x Dinafem Seeds Original Amnesia AUTO
1x Advanced Seeds Kaya 47 AUTO
1x Black Skull Seeds Critical Ryder AUTO
1x Buddha Seeds Purple Kush AUTO

(I have the White Widow, Pineapple Express, Purple Kush, and Kaya 47 germinating right now.)

I have a Agromax 3ft x 2ft x 5ft grow tent with a 150w watt hps light hooked up into it.

I have grown before with photoperiods but this is my first time growing autos.

So now that is cleared, here is my question. I want to put the four autos under 20/4 lighting because I had heard from somewhere that is the best for autos. I have a couple of 100w equivalent 6500k cfl bulbs from a previous grow but can't I just start them off from seed under the 150w hps light for 20/4 the whole way through? Will there be a negative effect?

Haha I don't know I've just been sitting here taking hits from my bong thinking about that hahaI love the smileys on here!

Anyways if anyone has information to tell me about this I'd appreciate it if you filled me on it. Thanks!

You could def just use that light the entire way through but with 4 under 150w it would probably be smart to have some supplemental side lights with your cfls once their bigger. Starting with cfls is never a bad idea. Allows them to not he bombarded. With excessive light after a few days above ground and starting your first set of leaves flip on that hps. It should help keep tight nodes and dense buds. Brave goin with 4 strains from 4 companies. Sounds like you have your eggs in order ill be around once ya start a journal.

Even if you insisted on using the HPS, just keep the light high and it should be ok.

Thanks for the help man! I just didn't know if it would effect the yield of the plants ya know haha gotta have plenty of medication!
