New Grower A few noob questions...

1. Is there a best time of day to feed/water your plants? for instance if im on a 20/4 light schedule, should i feed 2 hours after the lights come on? or right when the lights come on? will it make a difference?

2. for you guys who use the accurate 8 soil meter....what reading do you water your plants at?

I try not to water right before lights out....but other than that, any time the pots are sufficiently dry.

My meter was reading 2 in the top half of the pot when I watered.

I have always watered about 2 hours before lights out, always. Just due to the fact, that my dark period is at midnight and I water before I go to bed around 9:30 or 10. I would venture to guess it really doesn't matter to me or the plants. It's been working for us both!!

I use the accurate 8 ONLY for ph. When the pot gets lite, I water. If it is heavy, I let it go another day. Great tool by the way!!! I love mine!!

Weight test is a better indicator for sure.... Although you need to set a baseline for how light "properly dry" is. Or you'll chicken out and not go long enough, like I did
