So my first grow of autoflowers is nearing completetion. I'm trying to decided what to grow next. I'm wanting to try DWC. But something inside my head says get more familiar with autos in soil first. I have one lone freebie from the "tude". It's a G13 Labs Diesel Auto fem. I'm gonna grow this one with a few photo's just for the experience with auto's. I will document soil mix etc, but it will all be basic stuff.
The little beaned popped up yesterday. breeder says 70 days. sorry for lousy pix.

Seed, Soil, Container

Thanks for the interest and encouragement. I'm a little anal about quality, simple is good for us beginners, but buy the best quality seeds, soil, equipt you can afford. I'm on a fixed income, I understand being on a budget. I have a quality seed, I use phat sack grow bags. they breath and drain exceptionally well, the are washable and re-useable and foldup for storage. they come in many sizes, I 'm using 3 gal size which cost $2.75/ea.....bargain in my book. For my simple soil you'll need 3 base ingredients: Promix, Perlite, Organic worm castings. The mix ratio is 5-5-2. 5 part Promix, 5 part Perlite and 2 part worm castings. Perlite dust is very bad to breath I suggest mixing outside or with a mask in a well ventilated area. You can add 1 part wood ash from chemically untreated wood if you have access. Mix soil thoroughly and moisten with room temp or slightly higher water, do not saturate! At this point we can fill the phat sack and plant a bean or if you like starter cubes plant the cube into you Soil mix. I really hope this helps some one! I'll stop here for now. Check out WWW.HTGSUPPLY.COM for affordable quality grow supplies! :peace::toke:

just got 5 fem seeds of this. will be my first auto. so this will definitely help me out! :head: thank you, sir!

I've got one of them going under my t5, and i hope yours does way better than mine is. Really it is really crap. But let me tell you what I did, that hasn't helped this get a fair shot.

Repotted 3 times, seed tray, 4" pot, 2 gal bag. All pretty much no no's but it was my first attempt and I didn't know. Plant that in your final container asap, so you don't stunt the plant. You can find some good posts on the terrace method and I think you'll do much better or just put in a bigger pot sooner.

it is healthy and flowering, but it is a runt for sure. Now I did the same process with 3 amnesia auto's and they are night and day from the diesel from g13. not putting any hate on to g13 or the diesel auto, it's my fault I'm sure. But she's not a fan of being repotted. I'll take a few pics in a bit when I go in my grow and you'll see the difference.

Just hope to help you out with some of my mistakes before you make them. it's easy for the first time to make several.

this is not the first time i've seen someone use the word "runt" with these specific seeds. ran across a grow journal while searching "g13 labs diesel auto" and at day 29 these guys looked almost like seedlings. he documents through week 5 of flowering and then seemed to have lost interest. didn't look impressive, at all. but with all the stuff i've been reading about autos it really could be "us." talk about hypersensitive, everything seems to blow auto's out of the water. it's gonna be a blast!
