Yeah, that's much better without the LED. I take back the overwatering comment now. And it's not light related either.

Fair enough. I can say, it didn't always look like that. I had it out in normal room light last night to LST it and trim it a bit and it looked like the original pics I posted (minus the purple light, obviously). Almost like I spilled water on it and it had dried and left a residue, along with a little bit of wind-burn. The brown streaks are new. This is so weird.

It very well could be from water on the leaves...which would make me retract my "not light related" comment. LED will burn a hole in a leaf with a water droplet on it, like a laser beam. I just dont have the confidence in saying, that's the case.
I don't think it is light "distance" related. I also don't believe it has anything to do with your fan.
My second guess...and only a guess, is Cal deficiency. Although it looks a bit off to be so.
Alos...I don't think she's an Ugly Betty. I think she looks great!

Yeah, I'm really leaning that way, but like you said, I'm watching and learning!

As far as cal deficiency - that may be. I do make sure to add the recommended amount, so...who knows? I guess we'll find out!

And as far as "Ugly Betty" - she got that name due to only having one cotyledon when she sprouted.

So, looking at the damage,... appears to be from earlier, see how the leaf tissue warps around the perimeter of the necrotic spots? that happens as the leaf grows around the damaged areas,... I find that in hydro/variants of, a brief hiccup in pH can cause sudden, usually mild symptoms like this,... it looks like P defc. necrosis,... I see some white-ish stippling too, interveinal and at the teeth too,...almost looks like thrip damage, but at the teeth tips, tells me it's likely something else related to the other symptoms,... Just keep on top of your feed pH, and watch for any progression,..wouldn't hurt to scan for vermins too, just to be sure,... :smoking:

I looked at your pics at 200%, and it looks like honeydew on the leaves. I suspect some type of pest. Most of the time, honeydew is aphid related, and white dots indicate a piercing sucking type of insect. Seems to have been a lot of thrips showing up lately, and that somewhat fits the bill here too.

Thanks @Waira - I'll have to read more about the things you mention for sure - and it has essentially stopped, so the "brief hiccup" makes sense. I'm currently using the liquid PH test kit (the one with the tiny vial and PH test drops) from General Hydro, but if anyone has any recommendations for a relatively cheap (under $40) PH pen, I'm all ears. I bought a cheap-o $15 pen off Ebay recently and it was *junk* and the only ones the local hydro store have are in the $100 range.

Definitely no vermin though, the plant seems fine aside from this one issue.

I'm not gonna say it's *not* aphids or some other pest, but I've looked in the tent/on the plant/in the room the tent is in, and so far I haven't seen any sign of an infestation whatsoever. I'll do a little reading on aphids and thrips though, just to be on the lookout. :smoking:

Alright, so...still having some issues. @Waira , @Renaissance Redneck , @Yeatster - any further ideas/advice? As mentioned I've been using the drops-and-vial PH test method so far with decent success, but if I need to upgrade to a pen I will. Just not trying to break the bank in the process. For clarity - pic [HASHTAG]#4[/HASHTAG] is the original leaf that had the issue. Not a new one that has it that bad. All the others are newly affected ones I noticed last night/this morning.
