Lighting A quick question about air cooled reflectors...

Hey people!

i've been looking at air cooled lights and i was just wondering if they're air tight? i was thinking of having a carbon filter linked to 2 air cooled lights by ducting and then finally a fan up in the loft pumping the air into the chimney breast.

My question is, will the smell leak in through the lights and mess up my odour control as they're after my carbon filter in the chain?

Pull the air thru the lights, not push it. It will leak to the airflo, not into the room.

yeah, the pump will be pulling air through the lights and pumping it into the chimney but with the lights coming after the carbon filter in the chain, will the lights allow unscrubbed air into the ducting and make my fan pump smelly air into the chimney and not just clean air through my carbon filter?
