Mephisto Genetics A third attempt

Day 65 update: For the SODK x Ripley I ended up starting feeding with overdrive on day 61; pistils are starting to orange up and trichomes are beginning to get cloudy. Planning now on feeding with overdrive until Wednesday next week, then some plain water and a chop. also have bud factor x showing up in the mail but I may have missed the window to use it. The buds continue to frost, and if the lowers are any indication of what is hiding inside of the main nugs I am super stoked.

Auto blues: These quickly became a jungle, one I have the two big girls out of the tent am going to attempt some training.

MBAP: Don't even have words, the fan leaves are gigantic, and still growing. officially larger then my hand, depending how the rest of this run goes I may have to consider starting more buckets instead of soil / coco.

When it comes to drying and curing, planning on hanging branches since the humidity around these parts is fairly low; just got 6 hygrometers in but they all seem inadequate so i may have to find a new one. Any recommendations?

As always, pics attached

day 76 update:

SODK x Ripley: Really excited to chop these down; definitely need room in the tent for the DWC plant to get bent over. Leaves on the shorter one are yellowing and falling off much faster then the taller one. Both are almost 90% brown/red haired, and first signs of amber trichs are appearing. Flushing with plain phd water, hoping to chop em down monday or end of the week at the latest. Very impatient but also trying my hardest to give them the time that they need. Planning on doing some staggered harvesting, letting the lowers go another week about. Taller of the two is starting to fall over from the bud weight, may need to tie it to the frame.

MBAP: Absolutely crazed rapid growth, been leaf tucking like a madman and have quite a few bud sites now aligned with the main cola. Excited to see how the growth proceeds once in full flower.

Auto blues: 2 smell like blueberry candy, the last like a christmas tree yard. All looking relatively happy / healthy, just competing for light at this point.

and course, pics!

The whole gang

Bit of a stretch between final updates; got let go from my job as well as school piling up. Ended up chopping the smaller gal on day 78 and the larger on on day 83. Smaller plant produced plenty of delicious orange smelling colas, and ended up with a little under 5 once dried. The larger gal is on the final day or so of burping, locking in those sinus clearing rank fumes that possess it.

Pics are of the smaller lady all dried and ready to smoke, while the cola shown was the main off the larger plant. Poor girl was so top heavy when i removed her supports she immediately collapsed in on herself.

Smoke report will happen soon, but off the cuff the shorter definitely feels like a sativa, while the larger of the two makes me feel like a neanderthal! A lot of thanks for the support from you all, hoping to keep improving.

Pardon the loose trimming, but I just can't bring myself to cut off sugar encrusted leaves .

Fantastic dude. Great haul of some delicious looking nugs! :slap:

Great finish! Way to stick with it too! Everybody doesn’t grow with the same equipment, in the same temps or with the same inputs so we will all have different results. All that matters is, are we satisfied with them? I’m happy to see that you stuck it out for a great prize at the end! Ding ding ding ding ding, WINNER!

Some sadness :/ pulled one of the auto blues... And it was littered with half formed seeds. Ended up pullng all three of the blues, 2.5 of the 3 were chock full of em. Hoping the mbap isn't too screwed, but not hopeful. Scanned all of the plants and couldn't find nanners.

The mbap also suffered a catastrophe; 2-3 of the branches snapped off almost entirely, and the plant tipped over. It is now a royal cluster f*** of strings hanging from the top of the tent trying to help spread them out and hold them up.

Keeping my head up, time to learn how to make qwiso or bho with the seeded ones, hopefully the bucket plant won't suffer the same fate. Germinated a couple of sour crinkle, and we will see how it goes!

lovely finishing colours, very nice plants.bad luck on the seeded, have no idea how that happened.
:pighug:
Thank yah, I'm wondering if i didn't just let them run longer then they should have. Starting to worry about the MBAP, it is now day 95 and even with branches taped / hung up along the tent its still 80% clear, only 10-20% cloudy with the odd amber here and there. Im hoping it will finish okay and not turn on me, these DWC plants are a whole other beast. Her branches continue to swell and weigh themselves down, supporting em where i can so they don't all fall off before she is finished.

on a brighter note, the sour crinkles i popped seem to be awfully happy and chugging along about a week an a half old.

Thinking next time around the way to go may be growing a smaller plant genetics wise and see if it is a bit more manageable. She smells amazing though, a tent full of bubblegum-esque smells

pics of the poor MBAP and the happy little crinkles.
