Hello friends at AFN. Need some advice about my lights. As you can tell by the name I’m a complete newbee so here is my setup;
Tent 80cmx80cmx160cm or an oversized 2.5x2.5x5
I have 2 QB 288. Firs one 120W wall draw lm561c hlg driver 3500k
Second one 120W lm301b 3000k
Me seeds are germinating and hopefully I will have. 3 girls to transplant to a final 5gl pot. Organic gro using BioBizz Light Mix and BioBizz nutes. My question is , once I have transplanted to final pot what height do I run the led’s and as they are dimmable do I run at full power ? Please feel free to comment, advice,tag other people. Thank you in advance. :pass:

There is a lot of choices. You can dim and put them close or give some height and push them hard. Takes a little experimenting but as long as you check your plants daily, its easy to observe and make changes until you find a sweet spot.

Or, you can use a lux meter or phone app and divide the number by 67(roughly) and you'll get the PPFD value. I personally am too lazy to do this. Just plain old observation will do. I would recommend seedlings at around 16-18 inches below lights at about less than 50% power to begin. Then, ramp up as you see fit.

Hope it helps.

I run the HLG QB 600's.....I dim mine down to around 50% in veg at say 30 inches and let the plants grow towards the light. When I notice the 1st white pistils I begin increasing the intensity and getting them used to the brighter light. I watch the plants but try to run them at around 24 to 28 inches at full power in flower.

Hope that helps....

Thank you @wagon @ReNN @Equatorial. Thanks for the info. It’s much appreciated. I will put them on low lower at about 30 inches and I will see how it goes from there. Happy growing :smokeout:
