I know, I know GET MORE AIR!is neccessary, but does anybody have any suggestions on a stronger yet quieter commercial air pump? or possibly a way to silence my current ElementalO2 1157 gph commercial pump?
Ok, I'll try hanging...I've looked into the box idea but didn't feel 100% comfortable that it wouldn't cause a heating issue. Jus wanted to know if anybody faced the same dilemma and figured out a solution
hey dude are you sure its not your air stones making the noise I grow in my loft and no matter what pump I tried I could still hear it so I changed to diffusers
and I run one of these its in the tent sitting on about 4 layers of dense packing foam
it is quite as long as the airline is attached
and you cant hear a thing now (that the wife stopped naggin about the noise) hope that helps

I appreciate the advice, I definitely feel like I benefitted from following your advice about getting as much air physically possible to my buckets. I had (1) 1157gph pump and bought a second but I can't run them atm because they're too loud...I have noise parameters now that I didn't have before...bummed out because you definitely telling everybody to get more air is A+ advice, but hopefully these little pumps will finish the run suffuciently enough
Yeah, you are definitely not going to not be able to grow if you use less than 50, I mean 50LPM is a LOT for each site. So do what you can for sure and first and foremost be safe in growing your ganj especially if you are in an apartment, some of the most stressful growing I have ever done was in an apartment in Texas. You might want to try sound proofing your bigger pumps, build a little box and insulate the shit out of it and see if it gets it down to an acceptable decibel level
