Hey guys, i wonder if anyone of you has an idea how to decrease the noise comming from your airpump?
Mine is quite loud and i allready supended it on some foam.
Ahh both ways are really interesting, i will look into it. Those airstones look neat and organised, cool. I have a 8w airpump maybe i should get another one and let them run on half the power.
I put my air pump on a piece of medium density foam inside I thick cardboard box with about ten holes on one side that face to the wall,
it cuts almost all the noise from the pump itself but you still hear the bubbles which is OK in my case cause the pump was keeping me awake at night the bubbles are soothing.
I cant hear the bubbles, the airpump is keeping me and my girlfriend awake as well. I will built a box for it, i still have this sound insulating foam (the one with the pyramids) i'll use that to keep the noise low.
Save yourself some headache and invest in a better pump. Any of the Danner/Pond Master AP series are super quiet. I've used the AP60 and it can't be heard over the noise of my LED's fans.
