Any hydro system tuned correctly will be a good producer with the right genetics and gear. Try Canna Coco in the big bag are the compressed bails (same thing) if you are coming from soil. It's cheap, it works great and it's tried and proven itself time and time again. DWC is good if you have the patience and know how...things can go south real quick though, so it's not for the inexperienced....even though I'm sure there are exceptions to that rule...lol. Hempy Bucket is something interesting that comes up.....once again, dirt cheap to get started. I would highly recommend a pH meter and RO filter if your looking to grow some "Dro"....that never gets old when I hear the dummies on the corner in the city slanging tiny dimes say "I got that Dro son...it's fire....got that loud.". If they only knew. I would wholeheartedly say grab a couple slabs of Canna and some Perlite and try Coco farming in a decent sized pot. I use homemade airpots and they drain really well with coco. A little more technical and controllable than soil. You can grow some MONSTER plants in DWC and it too doesn't require too big of an investment. Build your own. Look up the directions, grab some tubing and some grommets, 5 gallon bucket with a lid, fish tank air supply and a badass big airstone like a dinner plate, a net pot and some Hydroton from the grow store. You can also add a viewing window into the 5 gallon via a thick 1" piece of tube about 12-15" long with grommets/hot glue. Make two holes, one high and the other down low and put 1" grommets and 1" tube into new holes. Now you have a water height viewing window like the way the milk fills the handle in a gallon jug. You can grow some outrageous sized plants in DWC especially with some decent COBs over them. The Hempy bucket is like a miniature DWC with easier operation and smaller containers. Grow dat dro bro.
