What is HAZE, what can be called haze with a straight face, when is it a haze, why is it a haze, etc. ?

The Haze brothers, a chap called Neville, Jamaica, sativa dominance........

These profound questions is inspired by a little chat with a bloke in a growshop who got himself all tied up in knots explaining what is a haze.....he looked just as confused as yours truly when he had finished and untangled himself.

Here's Dinafem's attempt to enlighten me http://en.seedfinder.eu/strain-info/JYD_Haze/Unknown_or_Legendary/ wonder if @Dinafem-Mark @DutchPassionTony @mephisto @Sweet Seeds Jay @FastBuds or anyone else can add to this

Unknown or Legendary - JYD Haze
Dinafem-Info: Haze genetics are principally known for their tropical origin, their rapid growth and their high psychoactivity. However, there is another fundamental characteristic that makes it such an appreciated variety: its wonderful, unique flavour.
A combination of spices, incense, sandalwood, pepper and hints of lemon, with a strong aftertaste; this is the luxury that can be obtained from this delicious genetic breed by the few privileged cultivators willing to put in hours of work. Some time ago, we were able to get our hands on a very high quality sativa Haze, thanks to the cultivator community JYD. It was the best quality we had ever had the chance to see: 12 week flowering, extraordinary taste, very complex, persistent...in short, delicious. Furthermore, the strain has an effect that without a doubt is the most extreme of all our selection of mother-plants.
It can be defined as energetic, very psychoactive. On some occasions, it can be very intense and overpowering, and disappears without leaving a relaxed feeling due to a low CBD content.

I'm only familiar with the Super Silver Haze vs. Amnesia Haze part of the equation and that the lore involves Amnesia
actually being just an SSH cut renamed. That and the fact that it's sati-dom.

I have my own hi-jacked strain of haze. I crossed Arjens strawberry haze with a heavy indica. I'm on f2 at the moment and I get 2 types. One which floats you away all day and the other floats you away then smashes you into the sofa. I think you can call any hybred a haze these days but it has to be mainly sativa based or you will want to sleep other wise.

Yeah, that's sort of what I think too, but that is not what they think in the coffee shops. I showed some HBSS to a guy, and just looking at it, he said "That's not Haze"......I said it sure is, its Sativa dominant, he just looked at me and then said, if I tried to sell this as haze, I would go out of business.........given there is 5 other coffee shops within a minutes walk.....I believed him.

The only other thing I can think of is that haze grow's as I would describe as "big maggotts". That's the only thing that I can think of off hand.

Foxtailing you mean....... Sounds good, let's include that in the writ to the World haze Court.... Haha!

Meanwhile, would you say this semantic effort and image is a description of a haze

70/75 day flower sounds fast to me. Mine take anywhere from 84/100 days. Late oct early nov dependent apon weather here for me. Foxtailing, that sounds better than fat maggotts.

Sorry early on I was on a mobile when I answered. The picture I don't really have a clue on to be honest, but the THC/CBD sounds about right from what I've read.
