I'm looking for a magnification device to inspect trichomes. Tired of messing with a jeweller's look.

Are there any that work with an android Galaxy S10 phone?

yea ,close but no cigar,,,i not on me phone or else i would post a pic,,but i get away with it with my camera and phone, glad i didn't get the galaxy,,

so in that case i have seen the clip ons you mentioned and i seen the results that are good,,you would be best doing a amazon search i guess for one

I have a couple of usb cams and like them very much. Snip a piece of bud, put under camera and check those trichomes up close. The Bodelin cam is my favorite.

I tried everything but the usb cam, and settled on using a camera with a macro lens and tripod. Trying to use a loupe strong enough to clearly see trichs did not work for me either - too difficult to hold me or the plant still enough. Ditto the Carson microscope. I didn't try cutting a piece off because I didn't want to cut a piece off.

If you want to use the cell phone, either buy a clip on macro, or just tape your loupe over the lens. I tried the latter, but still found movement too difficult to control to maintain focus and avoid blur from movement. So, either rig something up to stabilize the phone near the plant, or cut off a piece so you can sort of anchor the phone with elbows, books or whatever on the tabletop.

Good luck with it, and stick to the trichs - they are the best indicators.

I'm not a fan of them either, I have trouble with them. I just ordered a usb microscope for android I have a s7. Got on Amazon for 17.xx, I was waiting and missed the sale for it was only 7.xx for a while. Will be here 1/24 - 2/24 I will be posting with it after. Let's you take photos maybe video too not sure. I will try with my Samsung tablet too. I wanted something I could leave glasses on with and just look at pic, not squinting through a small hole. I got a cheap 1 because not something I use a lot. I have a few i can use this will just be easier.
