My PH is checking in at 6.5 and have checked with 2 meters. Do not think that is it. I have PH up and Down if needed.Looks like your PH is out of whack!!! Ph in and ph out would be a great thing to know!!
I cannot fuckin grow. This is 3 grows in a row with problems. different seeds. different soil and water. different nutes. different grow room. same freakin results. about ready to scrap the whole room as I am getting tired of subpar weed. 8 plants , what a waste. Frustrated I guess. My PH is checking in at 6.5 and have checked with 2 meters. Do not think that is it. I have PH up and Down if needed.
Thanks for calming me down. I know this sounds stupid but I do not know how to test the run off of water. I have a meter that I have been putting in the soil. 2 of them to be exact. and they both look good. Can you explain how to test run off? I think I have some strips for testing pool water.deep breath. It doesn't have any power to fool you, you just have to unlock the combo. If all else fails...simplify.
You are checking the ph of your run-off after going through the soil?
To me it looks like it could be mineral deficiencies other than Mag, or it could be Nitrogen toxicity...but I'm a newb.
Just keep after it and keep reading. It seems like it may take some time for changes enacted to exhibit so make
small changes and wait for them to take effect.
IDK, just trying to offer a perspective that will replenish the patience and desire.
Thanks my friend. Here is an update. before I read this I took a smaller plant that was just getting ready to bloom and I put in bucket and started adding water slowly till the water ran out. problem was this. it took a gallon of water and the bottom roots were completely dry , I had just water this last night with some. so it took a gallon and 32 ounces in 24 hours before it finally started leaking out. I tested and that water was PH about 6.0 and total alk less then 20. very low reading . Is this the true reading? Have I been under watering these things? 32 ounces ever 4 days in 3 gallon pots? It's my understanding that basically, testing the ph of your food solution (liquid ph tester...) before going through the soil,
then testing the food solution that comes out the bottom of the pot will give you two numbers. add the two together and
multiply by .5 (or divide by 2 if division is your jam) and that gives you your wet soil ph.
There are those that would say the 2 prong soil testers can be very inaccurate based on where the prongs are buried.
And you need to know the ph of the food you are feeding it, which is adjusted by the ph up and ph down "in solution"
for the desired result.
Please - If a veteran can correct me or explain it better....there's every probability that I muddled that up somehow.

Thank you for very much for your comments. It gives me much hope.Stavos---understood. You can grow and will soon be a knowledgeable grower.
Some just get lucky off the bat. Most are not so fortunate. Your plants look like beauties compared to my early and some later grows.
Soil was a real problem for me indoors. Constant ph issues. Takes time to get a handle on using soil indoors. A few members encouraged me for over a year to use a soiless mix. Have found coco to be much much more cooperative. And along the way discovered that the more expensive the ph meter the more accurate the reading. Wish I had the Blue Lab combo when I used soil.
What is great about using soil--initially--the saving grace is you will become a better grower and understand the interplay of water, nutes, ph and all the issue that arise.
If you are frustrated you are learning and reflects your growing green thumb. If you didn't care you would not be frustrated. And i have often felt the same--like throwing everything out on the street.
All in all your plants do not look to be imperil. Appears to be just an N issue. If you have a lock out it is not a bad one. Your leaves do not show signs of any burn due to over fertilizing or necrosis etc.
One thing to keep in mind is that many of the rough looking leaves etc. are just cosmetic. Take a look at the Strain Hunters episodes. Rarely are any of the plants in nature striking beauties. Most have some sort of issue--seems to be in their nature to want a perfect environment to become blemish free. Even in Rosenthal's book and other grow books the photos of healthy plants have issues of some sort (burned tips, saggy leaves, off color leaves etc.)
N is one of the macro nutrients that can quickly correct deficiencies including leaf color (others do not recover--but, it is just cosmetic). Like one old timer respond sometime back--it is the flowers that matter.
Your ph at 6.5 is not critical. In soil that is a good ph. Someone will come along and provide some more advise. Remember I am taking a stab at the N as the issue--wait for others to confirm etc.
Cheers
edit: Looking at your plants again they really do look good and well cared for. Bet they will respond quickly with corrective action. One point--would not flush because your plants are not locked out of all nutes.
I hear ya, thanks for your input though.I don't know what your medium is....it could be retaining pretty heavily. But yeah those big boys could be drinking that I think...
As to the reading, I'm not even going to act like I know. Not at that point in the learning curve yet.
