New Grower Am I ready to switch to HPS?

I'm on day 21 with my Think Different, it's about 6.5 inches tall under a 400W MH in OF soil/perlite mix...

She's starting to flower but hasn't really stopped growing vertically. Should I switch to the HPS anyway?

At any poiny now you could switch.I switch at 3-4 weeks on average!

I recommend waiting for that vertical growth to slow down some and then switch. Just me. :smokebuds:

Curious about this too, I also dont't know when to switch from dual spectrum HPS to full red spectrum... following thread, I fear if I switch too fast they gonna start stretching madly like they did last time when I used full red the entire grow..

That's why I'd wait until the vertical growth halts or damn near. With Autos, they aren't gonna blow up in flowering like Photos do when you switch them to 12/12. Should be fine. Pass this around. :smokebuds

Yea it takes 2-3 more weeks from preflower to when they stop vertical growing and start budding, my 2 cents is also to wait for that..

Cool, i'll probably wait a couple more days then switch.

That will let me keep my 3 day old cream caramel under to 400w MH for a bit longer. I'll have to switch the cream carmel to a CFL when the HPS bulb goes in for the TD and AKR..
