Biobizz is very mild stuff, diluting that usually isn't necessary,.. are you running full strength?

Problem: Lighter leaves/Sparse Grow

Medium/grow method: Soil - 50% each of Plant Magic & House & Garden Bat Guano

Feed: and supplements used: BioBizz Top Max, Grow, Bloom and CalMag

water source: initially rain water, lately tap water

Strain/age: Critical Auto

light used: 1000w LED Vipa Spectra

Climate: Indoor

Additional info: Most of the grow is fine but as I’m trying to nail it and learn as much as possible, it may be just one plant but she is my baby as are the rest of these beauts

Here is a picture of her, how sparse she is and her leaves in true light (look a lot better than two days ago so may be over worrying) and then there is a picture of another one of mine germinated just 24hrs after this - the difference is immense! So be interesting to see your opinions on why this might be if anything - thanks for all your help guys too

...better pics! ... each plant and pot are on their own, one may do great and another not so much... a lengthy list of reasons why too! Basically different strains/pheno's behavior, in-pot is it's own ecosystem as well... nothing is the same there!

...So, looks like mainly upper affected with that interveinal chlorisis,.. this hints at a micronutrient defc., most of which are immobile within the plant, meaning it can't be translocated from older established tissues to support newer growth,... Seems I see thing occasionally with Biobizz, that mildness means low micronute amounts as well I guess,... That's assuming the in-pot pH isn't off; an myth, organic nutes can never cause off pH ... less likely yes, but bullet proof, no way... testing in-pot pH is best done using a soil pH probe, like the Accurate 8,... otherwise it's the dubious run-off method,... let's look at something else first; do you have a good recently calibrated pH meter? And what's you tap water like for pH and hardness? An EC/TDS reading if possible,... test it and post,.. We need to figure out if this is a lack-of, or pH lockout problem,...The plant looks OK otherwise, so pH may be OK, but if it's too alkaline in there, that will lock out some micronutes,... if you've been watering with very hard water, it may have been driven up more recently,... If it's OK, then it's a lack-of defc., which will need an boost from a micronutrient supplement... The symptoms look like early Zn defc. to me,......

Wowsers, thank you. Will get right on to it all in a bit. I do have a good calibrated PH tester so will do that too.

Besides all thisnil almost out of nutes and for the others that are just 16 days old (AK47’s and Cheese) I would like to introduce a more concentrated/or better Brand, which would any of you recommend with your experience on autos, I know there could be so many different views. We do have a small amount of FloraNova Bloom we bought to trial - have you used that?

Hey everyone,

I PH’d the medium, it showed at 7.1!! Anyhoo, I’ve now PH’d the water after adding the Nutes, dropped the Grow and levelled it to a 6 now so hoping that’ll help bring it down to a 6.5 tops - I’ll test again in the morning and go from there.

..need that water info still... do you know if your water is very hard?... the direct run-off you tested is not an accurate measure of in-pot pH, but it does tell us that it's (probably) alkaline in there,.. what was the pH going in? Did you use just water, or a nute solution, and was it adjusted? ...if you used anything but water, the readings are skewed already,....it's important to have the input pH known as well before you compare run-off pH against it, and have a few influencing factors involved as possible,....

I’ve looked into your R/O method, my water PH and EC, done the R/O method and also tested my water from upstairs and down (would you believe there’s an entire degree higher upstairs, it’s running at 8!! Bingo - I switched from downstairs to up recently and that’s when I’ve run into problems.

Also with all your advice I decided to look into AN’s, having ordered PK 13/14 and big bud and have overdrive ready for the finale.
With that in mind I’ve switched nutes from bb to AN Sensi grow and bloom a & b and got a bottle of B52, hammerhead 4/10 and a better ph/ec tester.

So here we go.... learned loads and still learning, hopefully be making an advanced grower on a few months or so (perhaps a year at this rate lol)

Ps, we do have hard water here, running at 7.5/8!!

Will try the new nutes and amend as needed.

...sounds like serious mineral buildup in the pipes? that's a big jump in pH,... OK, AN nutes do not work well in hard water, the so called sefl-buffering works only in solution, and they recommend low ppm water,.. hard water will drive pH up relentlessly,.... get that A8! By managing your input pH, using low-to moderately hard water, and monitoring the actual in-pot pH will go miles toward preventing badly off pH situations,... AN will not self buffer once in pot, too many other influencing factors,...
