Old Reviews Amare anybody

Wow I'm upset that I missed this thread. Im Running 3 se-450's with amazing results. This is my third run under then and since I liked them so much I picked up 2 of the pro series. View attachment 628460

Holy shit.

That's the dream there chaps and chapettes!

Simply awesome.

If only I didn't have to creep about in my garage like a meth chemist, I'd have it converted into something like that.

Thank you DG. This is kinda different. I have a massive shed that had a overhang roof on the back for storing yard stuff. I framed in the floor and walls, added a door and turned it into my oasis. From the front with the shed doors wide open you can't see a thing. Even rigged up a hidden door to get into the room. Through the years I have built a lot of rooms and I tell you it's the most fun I have had in ages.

The Amares are the icing on the cake. They are so clean and well built. No worries about safety or being inefficient. 1.5gpw is easy to achieve with them too. My next room will have the pro9's for sure. They are probably the most powerful lights on the market. If I could fit them I'd have those instead but the light output is way to intense for 7 foot ceilings.

Yeah you gotta have a lot of head room for those Pro series boxes. That's the reason I stopped really thinking about trying to get one as well. Most likely I'll be adding 2 250's to my existing deployment when I expand next.

An easy 1.25-1.5 gpw with any Amare lights and good genetics. The 250's are excellent, perfect price and size for most smaller rooms. Plus 20% off now for afn members

I have 4 x 220's right now, and while I have always wanted the 450s I've really grown to enjoy the flexibility of these. I think they are the perfect size.

That being said, after I cover an 8x4 I may extend the rest of my space - or make a separate flowering area with some 450s eventually (will probably be 550's by then lol)

I think the 450's will remain for awhile. The Xp-e2 & g2's are still very good LEDs and the 3070's will always hold a high standard for efficiency. The 3590's do beat them out and that's the reasoning behind the pro3&4's. I bet he upgrades the se series before he does away with them all together. How's your yields been with the 220's? I just had a thought for victor and man it would save me big time. A dimmer on the cobs would be the best thing he could do to these lights. Sometimes when you run out of height there is no other option

Yeah, taking the lenses off is really the only mechanism currently for *dialing them back* - a dimmer might be a good feature request. I'm on board with it [emoji106]

I yielded 3.5oz avg off 6 plants on my first and only grow with them. I'm not an experienced grower by any means. My journal here vanished but there is one over at gc if you are bored enough to go hunt it down. I'm in a non-medicinal state and that grow was done in a tent in my attic in the south lol. Less than ideal conditions but given my inexperience I was really pleased with how it turned out. I've recently moved and have a room dedicated to my garden so we will see what I can do in a more optimal environment this time.

Wow that's pretty good. Autos can be tricky but once you nail down the basics and let them do their thing you'll be pulling huge numbers. It takes good light and common sense. Since you went with Amare I can tell you have both.
