Have you ever seen this and how much more yield do you think I will get?

What? The tri formation?

yeah its fairly common , doesnt always mean more yield but certainly can , if you do the math it should come out like a plant and a half worth of yield , but thats given the fact it grows as vigorous etc as its sisters you would be comparing her to

i recently tried to reveg a photo plant that grew that way but its lower buds were filled out too so i cut too much not leaving enough green for the reveg to take place , i was actually going to start a breeding project and try to make the trait dominant , from now on ill pay more attention to the plants in veg lol but it can be hard when growing big numbers

usually the plant grows out of the trait and any ive noticed have , minus the one i wanted to reveg , it kept the trait right through its entire growth/life , thats why i wanted to reveg it , because its the only one ive personally had that kept the trait and didnt grow out of it

Bob's dead on. Ive tried to breed that trait and most(100% so far) have out grown it by day 25 or so.

I've seen that personally several times. Sometimes the plant will do that once and never again, other times I'll notice it several times in different spots on a larger plant. I have yet to see a consistent pattern...

Sometimes it helps get more bud-sites, other times it has thrown off the plant symmetry for rotating under indoor lighting..

"My 2 cents"

"rotating under indoor lighting" ?

why do that ? the plant has to use more energy adjusting once rotating

leaves and branches will grow towards the light and when you turn the plant they now need to use energy growing the other direction instead of using it in other useful ways , ever see a leaf pointing sideways , thats because it is aiming itself like a sail on a sailboat but to catch light not air and even with multiple lights you can often see leaves do this towards the brightest source in its range , also , coliseum growing , the pro's never turn their plants , the plants grow towards the light , even branches on the back side bend around to the front side

anyway , sorry for high jacking the thread and going off topic , just wanted you to be aware

peace

Mr Jorilla ganjamoto likes to rotate his plants...... sometimes twice daily.....

Doesn't seem to be doing Miss Princess Uma any harm and as for her BOM winning Auntie, Princess Madge... well....

i thought you were "Mr Jorilla ganjamoto" ? how many people are on your account ?

as for it not doing any harm , i didnt say it does harm , but the plant does in fact do what i mentioned , just because you dont or didnt know any better doesnt mean your plant doesnt and wouldnt have done better if left stationary , growing a beast of a "strain" and bragging something didnt effect it is not a good example as it is bred to be a beast

I'm confused :)

and we all know it doesnt take much! lol

But... if we put a fan on our seedlings - we're effectively providing them with a bit of stress - moving them around. In turn the little one gets a nice strong stalk and grows nicely for us.

So.... by that logic (if you can call it that) - wouldn't turning them have a similar effect - keeping them mobile while finding the best position for light AND also getting an even amount of light to all the bud sites / foliage?

I don't turn my pots because i'm lazy and space is tight and i've got my pots arranged how i want them - but i think i can see a benefit!
I dunno - it's confusing!! ^_^
