New Grower Amber Trichomes

I try to let mine go to the full 14 weeks... sure you'll see some amber but open up a bud and they'll all be clear..at about day 70 they go into another phase ....'growing the foxtails'

Yeti1, Muddy has an excellent thread covering this topic in the New Growers Forum suggesting leaf colour can be used also to help determine ripeness - it's worth a gander.

I'm on day 95 with bubblelicious and there are few amber..Def cloudy trichs though..Buds are getting fat

By waiting till the fan leaves are use up you can add another 20 or 25% to your bud volume. They put on a lot of weight when they start feeding off the stored energy in the fan leaves.

How are your fan leaves looking when your leaves are yellow and dying out your closer and I have seen amber tric's at day 60 on purple kush I think it depends on the strain .I had amber on the first two purple kush I grew and have two more at day 63 now and can see amber on both of them

Good to know. The leaves are are all yellow except the ones sticking out of the buds and some of those are starting to yellow. It looks ready to me. Its a super skunk from vision so it'll be interesting to see what happens over the next week as I just began flushing it. I'll post pics once I figure out how

I do notice the calyxes are swelling and the remaining white pistils are turning orange. I just didnt expect to see such a variation in the trichomes.
