I no it's not weed , But my son lent me his lens , I really love this plant , it is related to the super stinky ones in Kew Garden in England , it also smells in flower . They are a great plant to have around , just bung the seed in the ground and for get about it , and I now have Ross River fever a mosquito-borne infectious disease . Only taken 30 years to get the dam thing , so cant' complain . Oh month of February -- 1.3 meters of rain .

:woody: :clapper::clapper::clapper: :woody: Outstanding plant species Hec'!! :headbang: does it reek like week-old roadkill? :crying: beautiful colors on the flower, and stems particularly-- those look painted- ..wish I had a party shirt with that pattern! so, you have this naturalized in your back yard? Is it a native? damn, I want one! ...you can keep the Noah-grade rain though, mate-- 1.3M!!--:yoinks:

... Holy Crap Hec', I hope it's a mild case, and stays that way,.. :pighug:..guess it beats the fuck outta actual malaria, right? Feel better soon chum! At least you have your Spirit guide Animal riding shotgun with you... :smoking:

...

 that's a wonderful thing Hec', to have such lovely reminders of your friend around every year!...can't think of a better living memorial :smoker1: ...so, I looked them up, and now I want some seeds or a bulb! Somebody's holding somewhere in the US,... I really like the structure of the plant

:jawdrop: Holy poop tea, bulbifer gets this big?!:vibe: I know some of the others do, and the biggest in the world is in this genus,... I thought this was a mini species! ..I guess it can be, right? That beast grew from a monster bulb I assume,... Thanks mate, for the cool pics as always! :d5:

:pighug: Hec' my friend, I'm sorry to hear you're grinding on this still,.. is there nothing they can do to help, like acyclovir, or Chinese lizard squeezing's? :crying: - you probably could make your own actually! ...man, your joints must feel like 7 angry dwarves have been beating on them with ball peen hammers all night,... well, inflammation is a big part of it, do regular pain meds, like naproxen, help take the edge off at least? Between the canna and this,...... I figure CBD conc. of some kind isn't available to you-? I wonder,... chat with Eek and Root, Duggy too, in the Med section, they may have a tip or two that can help, even at work,... :pass:  Cheers Hec', I really hope you feel better soon mate!

Thanks mate @Waira I am over taking S%$^ from doctors , The pain I can deal with till I get home of a night . Just part of living in the tropics . Now with the seeds off the leafs , each year the main one in the stem gets bigger and bigger each year [ you will get lots of a plant ] I just chuck them in the garden any old ware , But if you concentrate on the big one , it will be a bigger plant than the others next year . What you will have is plant - flower - plant- flower and so on from the same bulb . That's how you get them to be bigger , Oh and they are dead easy to look after , I do nothing and they grow like in the photo .

...well, at least there's some relief awaiting you at home then, ay?
Wait Hec, I'm confused, the plant produces those funky "bulbs" up on the leaves, right? (forget what the right botanical term is for this..corms?) .. the flower produces seeds,... and the main bulb at the stem center is the biggest,.. but the bulb in the ground is perpetual, growing alternate seasons as plant-flower-plant-etc.,...
Hec' my friend, I'd love some seeds or a bulb-nut, but the shipping to the USA would be brutal, and from what I hear about the Aussies' laws on agricultural exports (from the orchids we wished we could get back in the day) you likely be sniper-shot from a Gum tree as you approached the post office! :crying:..or am I wrong? Even on the down-low, the cost might be shockingly high,...:shrug:Let me look into it some, I'd be happy to pay the shipping if it's "do-able",....:eyebrows:

Waira , nar ya got it wrong , Seed turns into plant ,then dies back and a bit later a flower pops up . You end up with a bulb in the ground and the next year a plant will form from the bulb to grow and seed then flower again and yes the seed on the main stem is always the biggest , . @Waira /www.rareflora.com -- South Floirda , click on -- A -- above the pictures and it leads to seeds for this plant .
