The Autoflower Network's Scientific Approach presented by Autoflower.org Scientific Method What is the Scientific Method? In short, the scientific method produces answers to questions posed in the form of a working hypothesis (a proposed explanation made on the basis of limited evidence as a starting point for further investigation) that enables us to derive theories about what we observe in the world around us. The power of scientific method is that it is repeatable; helping to provide unbiased answers to questions. Scientific Method is a process consisting of: systematic observation measurement experimentation It is followed by: formulation testing modification of hypothesis What is "Bro Science?" "Do you even grow...

Another common question I see is when to switch autos from veg to bloom. Many people are under the impression that as soon as they see the first flowers it's time to switch. Perhaps a little explanation of the life cycle of autos will help to clarify this. Weeks 1 - 3. Once you've started your seeds and they break the surface of the soil, they are in their seedling stage. The first set of leaves to appear will usually single fingered, followed by a second set that may still be single fingered or perhaps 3 fingered. Once that second set appears growth will start to accelerate as the new leaves provide more photosynthesis. This process will continue, more new leaves, faster growth. Depending on the type of soil in use, mild...

This came up on the live stoner chat the other day, several guys said they had interest in DWC but was worried it was too complicated. DWC (Deep Water Culture) is one of the many hydroponic methods. I've also done Kratky. And lots of people have good luck with RDWC, Ebb and Flow, and many others. DWC and Kratky are probably the most straight forward, with the only difference being DWC has the air stone added to add additional oxygen to the water for the roots. The Kratky method relies on not refilling the container fully, and the roots growing "air roots" which absorb oxygen from the moist air. I have grown some monster tomatoes with the kratky method, so it works really well too. This will be my 5th run of autoflowers using DWC as...
Good day growers im a master photo and auto grower.but my passion is with autoflower seeds.i been on a mission for 5 years growing now trying diffrent methods of training on autos to see what they truly behold.truth is autos aint no diffrent to a normal plant other than they flower on there own.u can top lst supercrop and defol autos with monster results if done at the correct time.oviously every plant is diffrent so always use the seed info as a rough guide;) and a short plant can yield just as much as a tall plant;) in this thread i will show u all along the way of the true limits of autos and there true potential as i grow them for u all to see;).also if ur an auto grower who likes to push the limits,do speak up and all pics of ur...
DISCLAIMER I'm just getting a topic going and If you decide to try it and don't like the results then don't be blaming me lol But ive done it & others have too and have liked the results I see that a lot off people is interested in learning about the method of heavy Defoliation at certain points of a grow. (SCHWAZZING) So I would like to get a thread going regarding this so people can see the benefits off it and how this method is used to increase yeild and to also help out in other factors too. I copied and pasted the info below from the THREE A lIGHT Google post to help people out THE ULTIMATE GUIDE TO SCHWAZZING WHAT IS SCHWAZZING? A Schwazze is essentially an extreme defoliation. Where 100% of the fan leaves are removed from...
I'm about 50 days in and maybe have another 3 weeks to go. I'm running 20/4. During the 4 off my temps drop below 70°F and humidity rises to near 70% . I think it would be fine to go 24hrs on at this point to help keep temps up and humidity down. I'm just checking what you all think? Captain Redbeard Big Bud autos in 2 tents.
Whats the result of 12/12 on autoflowers? Continuous Growth: Autoflowers will continue their growth and flowering, regardless of the light cycle. They won't delay or prolong their flowering phase due to changes in the light schedule. Unaffected Flowering Time: Autoflowers will flower at their usual time, which is predetermined by their genetics and age, typically within a few weeks from germination. Yield and Size: With a 12/12 light cycle from start to finish, autoflowers might potentially yield less or have smaller plants compared to those grown under longer light periods, like 18/6 or 20/4, which are more commonly recommended for these plants to maximize growth. With all that said It seems to me like 12/12 would be optimal for...
Howdy All I’m researching a simpler nutrient feeding approach and came across Nature’s Living Soil. Follow the instructions for mixing super-soil. Use my fresh RO water which normally has a PPM of 15-20 and using fresh so the pH doesn’t change. Buffered and pH’d to 6.4-7.0. I have my 1st quality pH pen coming, Apera PH60 once it is here if my fresh RO doesn’t pH in that range I will probably check out spring water as I am not ready to invest in organic pH up and down, although I guess I could use lemon juice and baking soda. When watering don’t water to get overrun. IS IT REALLY THAT EASY? I’ve read the tutorial on growweedeasy.com. https://www.growweedeasy.com/just-add-water-super-soil-grow-guide-easy-organic-weed I’ve researched...

Hi all...I didn't see anything specific on tent set ups and so forth... So I'm going to sticky this thread for any questions and answers that you members with tents, can answer... Also, if you have any pics of how your tent is set up, please post them...Pictures say a 1000 words... Basically, as far as pics go, mostly looking for how yours is set up...Not so much about the plants... Thanks for your cooperation and I hope this thread gets the attention that new tent buyers, like myself, can gain some info...:peace:
I like making seeds. I use CS to reverse a whole plant, collect pollen, and apply pollen to a single branch of my seed/bud plant. I only pollenate a low single branch, and a smallish one at that. So, when I do seeds, I get both bud and seeds from one plant. So, I have a question for you seedsters out there, will pollenation of one branch affect the bud quality elsewhere on the plant? I ask because it may make sense for a plant to direct resources to seedmaking rather than filling in buds elsewhere. However, I have not seen a test of this issue to determine whether this hypothetical issue is real. I have not done enough growing myself to know, so am keen to hear if others have information. Happy growing peeps. :pighug:
Choosing Autoflower Seeds: The Indoor Edition (beginner-intermediate) Choosing the right strain is never an easy task!! The options are vast, and spread across hundreds, even thousands of companies, not to mention the variety of options available including Photoperiod, Autoflower, Light Sensitive Photoperiod, and Fast Version Photoperiod plants. Many companies sell Feminized(all female seeds), but very few also sell regular non-feminized seed which will contain males and females. For the non breeder, feminized seed is generally the best option. Autoflower strain breeders very rarely offer regular non-feminized seed for sale. Feminized options are generally best for new growers, but also lots of veteran growers prefer to use feminized...
Ok guys, i am in a chatty mood this morning and i wanted to gather some fresh information for the soon to come Art of The Auto section. During my years of growing i have noticed a phenomenon in my plants that i could never really explain other than pure health and response to the light that they were growing under, and that is leaf lift. You see it after the lights come on and they stay that way all day, as if they are praying to the light that they are under. Most outdoor growers probably see this more than the indoor guys do but, i think that if the environment is right. Youll see it inside just as much as you would outside. To me i always saw it as the plant activating its suction method of moisture from the soil. Now this is...
What's up fellow stoners and cannabis cultivators :smoking: It's been a minute since I've had an active thread and I just so happen to have these 2 beautiful ladies. Both Forum Stomper bred by Mephisto Genetics. Germinated and moved to soil together about 10 days old now pretty well twins but everything about the one in the air pot is bigger, so why not a vs run. I will be topping the plant in the airpot and only training the one in the fabric pot. The topped plant will see some training as well. I have been seeing alot of questions about topping vs training I hope this thread will help answer some questions out there. I will update on feeding days and any time they receive any training and on topping day which is already close. I...
Cliff-notes ver… I did a 6 bean pheno hunt of sorts.. one turned out to be a male. (He was beautiful looking back) As it was my first run of regs, i missed the signs (plus 6 beans (1 gal) was way full tent action!) So when I noticed it was for sure male over Christmas wknd…it dropped pollen cpl days at minimum before u could call Kull the conqueror. and of course he was at the back of the tent so getting him out.. i just felt I was bound to be a Seed-poppa soon. i am wonder/asking for tips tricks, sage advice.. 1 i was going to give some samples to the homies, but now that i know they are seeded potentially heavily, i kinda want to see if they are viable and keep my own stash, albeit MUCH sooner than i had planned on the seed hobby...
Hello everyone, I have been experimenting with rolling some cannagars lately and wanted to share my process of rolling one up with some actual fresh cannabis leaves! This means it's 100% cannabis. If you haven't tried it before I'd definitely recommend it, I much prefer it to wraps or papers now. It's not super easy persay but there are a few things you can do to make it easier that I'll highlight. I've also wasted quite a bit of cannabis/concentrates and my time trying to get it right so hopefully this can help save someone else some time/money. For this guide you will need A cannagar mold Rolling glue 62 boveda pack Wide mouth mason jar Parchment paper Something heavy Way of making/obtaining concentrate (optional) Step one would be...
