Outdoor An noob's outdoor grow log, without much logging...

Pardon my low quality, undersized phone pics...but it doesn't keep that last one from making this noob feel all warm inside! And the smell is intoxicating.

Depends when your planning on harvesting... Most recommend flushing at for 7-12 days, I personally will flush mine 12-14 days before harvest..

From what I understand growing times are estimated upon having perfect growing conditions (lights,nutes,etc).. 3-4 hours direct sunlight isnt so would expect an extra week or two...
Would def get nutes in around the 20 day mark next time at 1/4 strength and slowly increase (dependant upon nutes used)... Just dont over do it :)

Be good to see some more pics when u get a minute...

They do look good for no nutes and limited sunshine

Happy Growing

Wow Dom, thanks for pointing out that those estimated seed-to-harvest times are under ideal lighting conditions w/nutes...I never once thought of that hahahaha! DUH! I feel like an idiot. Well between that revelation and the fact that I was a week late in transplanting them, I guess it's no surprise that I started seeing buds only after week 8 with these 8-10 week strains. I have no idea when exactly I'm going to harvest (much less what to base that decision on)...I haven't even yet starting looking into the harvesting, drying, and curing process beyond reading an interesting thread about "freeze drying" here on AFN. I figure I still have 2-4 weeks so I know I need to get moving on that front. The weather will hold for another 3-4 weeks at least so thankfully that's not breathing down my neck.

I guess since this is "my" thread I'll throw it out there that if anyone wants to give me recommendations, tips, tricks, or finger-pointing (links to informative threads/websites), I'll appreciate anything ya'll throw my way. Like I said above, I'm going to do my own research but I'll take shortcuts when I can!

There are a few good threads on here that tell you when to harvest and what signs to look for... How to harvest and cure ETC....

From looking at your recent phone pics your just ahead of me in flowering and I will give mine nutes for next 14 days and flush for 14... Trim the bigger buds off and leave the smaller less developed on for a further 5-7 days... ( thats my personal way of doing it....

Good things come to those who wait :)

Well bad news, folks...
I almost fucking died in a traffic accident a few weeks ago. Literally, I've had a half dozen doctors tell me that the casualty rate for my injuries is about 50%, half the people in my condition would have bled out before getting to the hospital...where I've spent the last month. It's been the worse experience of my life but it's also made me a stronger person and made me appreciate what I have. It's not fun looking into your loved one's eyes and crying, "I don't want to die"...but if you make it through that experience you learn that every day is Thanksgiving (minus the genocide of Native American culture part). Take it from me, don't be so pig-headed that you have to almost die to appreciate what you're blessed with. Life is so fragile and LOVE is all we have. Live to love and love to live!

Thankfully I'm young and while my body is hurting bad, I'll all there upstairs! I'll take breaking bones over brains any time.

Someone musta not told my plants the bad news because they just kept growing like nothing happened, damned nature haha!

I do have some pics, but wasn't my "without much logging" thread title prescient!? Almost eery.

A close friend of mine has taken over the harvest because they're ready, most of the leaves started to yellow and curl up. I'll try to keep this thread updated with the final results as they come in. It's been really hard to give up my grow and harvest/dry/cure control to someone else but it's what's best for the plants and me.

Thankfully you are ok, good job on the grow. Leads me to think I fiddle too much with mine.

:slap::gthumb: Excellent comment above. Sending healing karma etc.

Glad to hear your ok and hope your healing well... Dude dont dwell on giving control of your grow away... At least you have the opportunity to do another, plants are expendable, can always order some more seeds... Get well soon and when your better, we will all be waiting for your next project... :karma Cloud:

I was pleased to see somebody using the tan fabric pots. They are much easier on the camo and blending in than the black ones so thumbs up on that decision. I'll do the same when the time comes. Why did you grow with what appears to be bark mulch instead of a soil mix? I send you healing energy my friend. Get back out there with your dog when you can!
