Yay the Afghan Kush Ryder and Blue Dream have rooted through the plugs and have been planted :) Pics:

The Blue Dream soil got a fair bit of Hydrated Lime mixed in, as per several reports of it preferring lower ph. She's had some trouble fighting with the seed shell and the plug, and so is canted to the side, but I figure she'll be facing skyward by tomorrow :) The AKR is growing explosively! It was the first seed to crack and blew out of its shell, blew a root way out of the Rapid Rooter plug in 24 hrs, and has skyward leaves already lol! Never seen a seedling blow up like this! She's going to be a real winner! Sadly the Sweet Seeds Fast Bud #2 has not cracked yet, and it may be no good :/ This is a real shame because I needed some fast medicine for my all empty jars. No biggie though, I don't fault anyone. It's part of the risk of buying single seeds instead of breeder packs.

Stage III bacto probiotic blast and mega picture update :)
--
So I stumbled on two companies that make soil bacteria / probiotic tablets in a unique effervescent format, like alka seltzer tablets. (I'm pretty certain that I've got the mycorrhizae and probably tricoderma soil life covered, but I wasn't convinced that I had the beneficial bacto covered). One company on the web and one on ebay. Here's a link to the web one: http://www.biotamax.com and the ebay one just search for "Bizy Bee" or "soil probiotic".

It arrives fine, the tablet is smaller than I thought... In fact for all I know it's just an alka seltzer tab with green food coloring lmao! Nah they wouldn't do that and stay in business. Comes with a professional info card and a letter with various instructions.
IMG_20140924_181910.jpg+IMG_20140924_181858.jpg
It's got a nice list of the bacillus and tricoderma ingredients.
One thing I found very odd, is the instructions say for established garden plants, to foliar spray and the bacteria will drip down to the soil. Uhhhhmmm no. The seedling instructions say just drop it in a gallon of water, that makes more sense. Having watered recently, I wasn't going to give them a full watering so I dropped the tablet in a liter bottle not a gallon.
Didn't feel comfortable handling it with bare hands so I used a napkin. Broke the tablet in half so it would fit through the bottle top. It's really green and fizzy!
IMG_20140924_182911.jpg+IMG_20140924_183050.jpg
Of course, I added some molasses for the bene's to feed on :p
IMG_20140924_183330.jpg
Then shook it up good, by this time the tablet had completely dissolved. It looks very strange. Then just watered each pot with it, at the base of the plant. We'll see if it helps... Well there's no reason it shouldn't help :)

Ok enough mad scientist chemistry lol, on to the lady plant porn! I think my ocd is starting to come through a bit, I got nifty labels for each plant and printed them equally as possible lol.

This is one that I thought I had killed by stupidly trying to germinate in pure peat. Sounded good at the time. I have since ph slush tested my Premier peat and it was 6.1 with rainwater slush so thats good.

Red Poison 2, The other returned from peat death zombie lol. She's still struggling but I know she'll blow up soon enough :)

Seedsman Pink Lady 2,actually the shorter of the two, starting to flower.
-
IMG_20140924_184223.jpg
Seedsman Pink Lady 1,taller and bushier, flowering nicely.

IMG_20140924_184246.jpg
My beloved queen Sweet Seeds Red Poison 1. Changing colors very beautifully, lots of bud sites, purple petioles, purple zebra striping is increasing, and pink pistils! It is the tallest :) I keep having to move my light up cuz of her lol.

IMG_20140924_184304.jpg
Blueberry Auto hit the usual stretch growth spurt, and is flowering okayyy, could be better.
-
IMG_20140924_184330.jpg
Bubblegum Auto from T.H. Seeds is the most mature of the lot, showing more advanced flowering, much more pistils of pure white, and is starting to get dense at the bud sites :) She's going to have a decent yield I think.

IMG_20140924_184407.jpg
The Grapefruit Punch twins from Seedsman (freebies) are surprisingly and disappointingly small... The upper one is preflowering already. They're supposed to be almost pure Sativa and supposed to get tall, so that's why I'm surprised they're not bigger and faster. It's gonna be a long while before they get decent. Very healthy tho.
IMG_20140924_184356.jpgOops posted that one already, can't figure out how to remove a pic while posting, at least from my tab. Meant to post this one:

Blue Dream auto from the original source Humboldt Seeds Organization, so far so good. Will add some more soil in a few days when she's taller.

IMG_20140924_184421.jpgIMG_20140924_184428.jpg Grr did it again.
And the Afghan Kush Ryder is looking good so far, moving fast! Almost ready for some topsoil.

Everyone all together now, smile:

Looking just amazing and the healthiest plants I've ever grown :) Organic is the way to go :)
----
Clones: I took a cutting from the Bubblegum and the Red Poison, goal being to reverse one and pollinate the other. Alas, the RP hasn't rooted yet, but the Bubblegum clone rooted nicely, potted up, and has been acclimated out of her humidity wrap. Today she started getting Colloidal Silver spray, a few times a day, in order to reverse the flowers to make female pollen. Already the pistils have shriveled up and receded, so it must be working ok so far.
IMG_20140924_181957.jpg
If the RP cutting doesn't root in time and get back to flowering, then I'll take the pollen and apply it to the bottom few flowers of the main plant. I just wanted a few seeds to see the process work anyways... Never done this with Cannabis, but I have pollinated plants before with the paintbrush method.

Okayyy that's all for now :) stay strong, karma be with ya, and good growing friends!

Sweet Seeds Red Poison is coloring up beautifully! Here's an interesting pistil comparison between the RP and the Bubblegum:
IMG_20140925_111105.jpg+++IMG_20140925_111142.jpg
See the Red Poison has these well spaced out short fat juicy looking pistils, but the Bubblegum has long skinny very tightly clustered pistils :) the BBG pistils remind me of a tall model's legs haha.

Lime raises ph

Thanks blue! Having fun :) Oh yeah pop you're right lol duh, I knew that, just had a pot-brain moment lol. I think I had it all backwards lol, it was suggested in a few journals to add some lime to Blue Dream soil, so I had it backwards that Blue Dream must like a higher ph not lower as I mistook earlier.

May have had a major pot brained brain fart blonde moment lol in regards to the Blue Dream soil ph haha oops. I contacted Humboldt Seed Organization directly for input/advice on the ph. It's not too late to repot it with a remixed soil configuration. No biggie, just want to be sure it's set up for the optimal success. Going back to research more journals now and double check. Feel free to drop any input :)

Starting to see some nice trichome development on the Red Poison :) pics:

The Bubblegum continues to fill up very nicely with hairy flowers.

The Blueberry is getting annoying, it's still super stretching! Almost caught up to the Red Poison, but it has really bad internodal lengths and fewer, smaller flowers. It's not starved for light, it's getting the same lights and nutes as everyone else lol. Look:
IMG_20140926_110618i.jpg
Blueberry there in the middle and RP on the left for comparison. It's becoming obvious that I.L.G.M. has low quality genetics compared to the bigger name brands. Will keep her going through, might as well at this point. Can tell yield from her is going to be pathetic lol.

Another mega picture update:

The Red Poison continues to change color :) and has impressed me with ample trichomes on the leaves! I can tell that a good bit of that sugar leaf will be left on the final herb :) the rest is definitely going in the kief sifter! The Red Poison is also getting the most of the UVB bulb, so increased trichomes is expected, but am surprised at this level!

Nowwww it's starting to look more like the expert buds some of y'all make :)
--
The Bubblegum is also continuing to impress me with lots of hairy and dense bud sites. Finally just noticed a little crystal production. I'd estimate that it's about a week or week n a half behind the RP in maturity, although it does appear to have more flower mass overall.

Blueberry is doing well, buds filling out slowwwly. Think it may be done it's stretch now, so will enter increased flower development.

Pink Lady 1 flowering nicely, nothing special.

And that's it for inside the tent. Other notes: I've changed out the remaining "daylight" 6500k CFL's with soft white 2700k CFL's for better flowering. So far they seem to like it. Also gave a massive inoculation of mycorrhizae, tricoderma, and bacillus to the soil batch sitting in the bin. A few more recycling rounds and I will have some seriously super soil and may be close to a water-only system :)
