I hit them a couple times yesterday with some foliar mixed up from a couple liquids from the General Organics GO box, with emphasis on Nitrogen from the Bio seaweed and the flowering fuel Bio Bud, as well as a tiny dash of CaMg+. Looks somewhat improved today as far as the deficiencies. I may have halted the defs enough to make it smooth to the end. They're really maturing fast now! Like a race to the end!

One is fat and all milky, it could be ready for the chop but I'm awaiting some more hairs and leaves to turn. The tall lanky lassie is the most immature of the four, and has the smallest bud sites surprisingly. I wonder if it stretched out more because it's closest to the blueish color floro tube... Kinda doubt it would have that much effect.

Anyways, thanks for stopping by friends! Today's words of wisdom come courtesy of a short-circuiting Robocop: "A rolling stone is worth two in the bush."

Today's hairy lady pornz lol:
Just when I think they're done fattening and reached the final plateau, they crank out some more pistils and the existing calyxes fatten up even more! Continued color changes also.
Overall:

Although it looks rough, I think I finally arrested the spreading yellowing. I blasted them hard with teas, foliars, and bits of the General Organics GO box.

Stillllll cranking out pistils! I wanna say "enough already! I'm done with you!" but they don't seem ready to stop yet, despite a mini plateau a few days ago. I honestly think the General Organics Bio Bud pushed them past the plateau and into making more flowers. Ok with me, just wish they'd hurry up lol.

Can see the whacky purple thorns in this one. Purdy leafie colors :p

And this I think is the best bud picture I've taken thus far. The bud itself isn't any big deal, but something about the picture is just awesome!

Judo Chop time for 1 of 4! All cloudy trichomes with a few ambers, she was still fattening up and cranking out pistils, but I needed to sacrifice one for some medicinal infusion. Got some nice Coconut oil this time yay, so will be vegan compared to my previous failed butter attempts lol.

As some will remember, I tried twice so far to make cannabutter from leaves collected and dried throughout a couple grows. First try just was weak and disgusting. Second try was strong and more disgusting lol, absolutely inedible... Almost barfed from one bite of the resulting edibles. I used leaves and didn't water cure or triple wash. This time I'm just using pure buds and am water curing at least for a few days to leach out the chlorophyll taste. They'll be going right into the coconut oil, no water, in the crock pot slow cooker, and utilizing the repeated 1 hour heat up 1 hour cool down method from HT.
Say goodbye:

Lego stormtrooper climbed the weed tree to inspect the trichomes lmao:

Aggressive trimming to remove as much stem and leaf as possible to reduce chlorophyll taste:
IMG_20140912_085912.jpg
Just an okayyy yield after what would normally be too aggressive of a trim job. Should be enough to make 1 strong batch with 1 jar of coconut oil.
IMG_20140912_090710.jpg
Suppose it would be about 3 or 4 grams dry. Went right into water cure. So now there are 3 experiment plants! Each are at slightly different maturity, so they'll just be chopped as they're ready :) Thanks for stopping by!

Another Chop! Now 2 of 4 experiment plants cut, 2 still have a bit more maturing to go despite being past day 130 lol. The one from the other day is still water curing, will probably dry it, decarboxylate it, and extract it into coconut oil soon, the water changes have gone clean already... Probably because of the aggressive trim, no leaves, and being organic.

Here's today's lady:
IMG_20140914_093828.jpg
Yeah she could go longer but I'm just really ready to wrap up these dumb smurfberries, I mean 130 days gimme a break. I have round 3 going strong and some Afghan Kush Ryder and a Sweet Seeds Fast Bud #2 on the way to install.

IMG_20140914_093852.jpg
Main cola is glistening and blingin' lol.
--
Just a light trim off the fan leaves and hanging whole this time. My drying needs much improvement. The high heat and high humidity in the tent is certainly not helping me get my drying right lol.
IMG_20140914_094245.jpg
As you may see, this is one of the plants which took fractures at the stem/stalk joint during tie-down. The fractured branches still produced nice lil nugs. I can't say if it negatively impacted yields on those branches, because the Smurfberry yields are so darn sad anyway lol, I wouldn't know if it was reduced.

Okay that's it for now :)

Last two chopped! Glad to be done with these stupid Smurfberry lol. Yeah they all didn't look perfect, but it's been going on long enough. So, one plant went into the coconut oil, under 4 grams, which turned out super weak so I might put in another whole plant's worth.

Next chop hung for a few days and was not drying well because of the near 100% humidity :( So I made the executive decision to manicure and put into a paper bag and bring inside to finish drying up better:
IMG_20140917_092724.jpg
Comes to 8 grams half dry, will probably be another sad sack 4 grams proper dry. Unbelievable that I would work a plant for 130 days and get 4 grams but whatever.
--
Third plant chopped and hung yesterday, fourth and final plant chopped and hung today :)
They fit just right in my ghetto rigged drying box lol. It's semi useless at this humidity lol but it was really just to keep direct light off them:
IMG_20140917_095644.jpg

Thanks for following my tie down experiment! I can't say it improved yields much, because this was a dumb strain to do it with. It did seem to allow the lower buds more light and allowed their maturity to be more on par with the upper cola. So, I'll call the experiment a semi success. Will be back with the sad yields haha :)

Final (sad sad) weights and thoughts: Alright friends it's time to wrap up that dumb round of growing. I learned a lot, from the plants and from the forum (you) that round. Although the yields were insanely low, I had a lot of fun and enjoyed the challenges. I'm a sucker for difficulty, what can I say lol. Always been that way.

Of the four experimental plants: one was water cured quick, made just a few grams dried, and went into coconut oil which turned out super weak... One went into 7 day full water cure, just finished that and dried today yay. Haven't sampled yet. Two were hung dried in the tent, went into paper bags, and now burping in jars.

So the final pics :)
IMG_20140924_204120.jpg
The water cured plant made 3.3 grams dry... Yeahhh awesome lol. The water curing removed most of the green color (leeched out the chlorophyll) and gave the buds a darker overall appearance. Smell is almost totally gone. Perhaps a few days in the jar will perk up the smell :)

The two other air dried and cured plants together yielded 8.7 grams, alright that's not totally horrible but is crappy for 140 days of work lol. Smell is nice, pine, pepper, hint of fruit maybe citrus. Appearance is rich and colorful with bright orange hairs and many of them, as well as a mix of florescent green and deep green. The stems are tasty to chew on. Will still need some more time in jars before the smoke test.

All jarred up, with humidity gauges and Boveda 62% humidipaks.

Annnnnd that's it folks! May return with smoke report later. Final thoughts are: boy am I glad that round is over lol. Learned so much here! Also, don't buy black market or grey market seeds! You'll end up with 140 days of hard work for half an ounce lol!

Hey bro, half an ounce is better than nothing! Congrats on your experiment and congrats with the haul! Love the vibes here...don't let those stormtroopers make of with your stash...trust no-one!

:slap::Sharing One:

Peace and love,

Dazed..
