Grow Mediums Any Coco Nuts using Silicone?

What's your recommendaion Dex? Start using a couple of weeks in at about .3 ml per litre and cut it out when the stretch has finished?

Edit ... just realised you kind of already answered the timescale thing above! "Stoner memory" .. lol ^_^

It will depend on what silicon you get i only use the plantmagic one and its quite concentrated and NOT for use in any hydro or any dripper system :peace:

Hmmm .. been looking over my preffered shops and the best i can dredge up is this stuff http://www.growell.co.uk/liquid-silicon.html (seems like some bad advice given there too about using as a ph up subsititue)

I'll just pick up a litre when i order my new bulbs and other bits and peices - it's only cheap!

if i use it for pH upping its only a touch i dont use mills of the stuff but the one i use is very concentrated in hydro you need it thinner so obviously weaker and you would need to use more imo :peace:

Re-read the growell thing again my best grow was in soil and i only used grow bloom and SILICON so dont know what the guys talking about there Blue but i think these are designed for hydro and coco as the plantmagic one is

specialy made for soil applications mate allthough i now use it in my coco

I've only ever used GH Liquid Silicon, this was last year when I did a photo run. Everything that could go wrong, went wrong, including a close-encouter with a fire-hazard. I am amazed they survived and I am pretty confident the silicon contributed. I definitely saw a much bigger stem. I had bad pH problems because I wasn't using it right, and abused of it. Despite almost killing the plants twice, I got a pretty nice yield :joint: (nothing to do with the silicon itself, mind you)

So all in all, in decent hands I believe will make a very significant result. All reports account to that. I will deff be using it next time round.

Just remember that silicon is very toxic, and I think remember reading it can deposit in the bud when they start packing sugars. So stop using it in early flower

What about the mixing part? I remember getting conflicting info. I would say use the RO philosophy, where cal mag is always added first.
