Hey everyone, just dropping in with a word of advice:

Even if we're good friends on the site here sharing Gaming tags is a bad idea. Anonymity is important in our game, and don't doubt the NSA and DEA are on top of their shit. Be careful who you share your information with and NEVER EVER EVER post your handle in the open forums. PMs are a better place for that.

That being said, if you played quake2 on heat.net back in 2000-2002 I smoked your ass when I won a couple of the tournaments back in the day :D: Hope you had fun riding my rail!

You beat me to it Piggy! Even if you keep your gamer ID's to PM's, be careful with who you ask to game with you. Often times in servers you can pull up a console and pull IP's and other information; or find information on someone through the seemingly harmless gaming community.

I use Tunngle bro, it works great! It works similar to Hamachi, which is a VPN (Virtual Private Network) app that's incredibly easy to use as well. They essentially make your computers think they are connected together in the same room on a LAN (Local Area Network.) This is great if you have problems with port forwarding and/or firewall problems. Tunngle has game lobbies where you can join up with other players if you're looking for a multiplayer game; it's pretty neat. The registration process is in the pain the boys though. Only takes a few minutes though. I go back and forth between Hamachi depending on the crowd I'm with. Which lately has been no one haha! Gotta get some Borderlands 2 going oomsk oomsk oosmk :bong:

Be safe fellas! :karma Cloud:

P.S.

Piggy, do you remember Kali.net? I used to play the CRAP out of Quake 2. The old runes mod and CTF. Rocket jumping. Good times bro!

Heh, I used to be one of the only people in our crew that could put rockets in the back of the tower, and we all know about that rocket jump to the hidden spot :D:

I liked taking down players with the SMG or blaster. Nothing humiliates/enrages a gamer like taking them out with small arms over, and over, and over.......

I was never on Kali.net, I think that may have been after my time.

We only ran a couple of mods in my clan, the one with the sawed off shotgun and bleed out damage, and the simpsons mod at one point. Homer was my main man.

Oh yeah, hand grenades in tunnels are hilarious. Nothing like popping one at death and hearing your opponent's screams of rage as they go with you!

Just thought I'd bring up an old thread and see what folks are playing atm??

I'm back to playing the space cowboy right now, running through the Mass Effect series... With a little Dragon Age on the side :)

Dungeons, dragons, travelling through space and alien strippers.... what could be better.

:Sharing One:

I sold my gaming laptop recently so i havent been able to game on PC for some time now, i currently have a toshiba satellite, not the best but ive been playing a little bit of Rust whilst i wait for dean "rocket" hall, and his team to finish DayZ, rust is minecraft and dayz mixed together, ive never played minecraft but this rust is pretty good, only in alpha atm but its better then DayZ early release!

On that note anyone on this thread playing DayZ yet?

I have a crummy rig, but it has been able to handle most games (the lowest of low settings of course), until recently when the new Thief (2014) came out. My max is 6fps on the lowest settings.

Other than that, I've been playing the new South Park game(currently stuck on alien boss pilot and copilot), and I play a Free to Play, Third Person Shooter called Warframe.

Even though this shouldn't be in here, but I would like to mention that, there is a hardware device where it will let you play XBOX and PlayStation using keyboard and mouse. It's called a Xim. Some of you might have heard of it, or probably none at all. It's currently sold out, but there will be a new version for the most recent generation consoles. There are many devices like the Xim, but I must say -even though this is my opinion- that this is the best device to be had to play FPS and other mouse and keyboard type games (not getting paid or anything to say that).

I write this, because many of our friends (at least my friends) prefer to play on a console rather than a PC. Now you guys can all enjoy playing, and be called hacks or get called rude names, while you play with your friends on consoles!

If I could recall, I think they had a major update, but there is a warning I've read for DayZ that it's still in alpha stage, and those who does not like a "buggy" or unstable game should not play. So I currently stay away from it for now.
