Picked up DayZ last night. The reviews for it were hilarious (much talk of being handcuffed by men in underwear, having cans of beans stolen from you, and the occasional wall clipping zombie. Ran around for an hour on a server with 22 people on it last night. Not one underwear clad man. Not one can of beans to even be found TO be stolen. And not a single zombie in every house I found!
Yeah dayz is very early in development. I played the mod which was awesome but hacker infested. Now the standalone game has the network coding. But theres not a lot of content yet. They're constantly adding things though.
Yeah i played the mod and at the moment the mod is still better then the standalone, i mean its coming along really nicely ive been playing it for ages now and i love it its legit the best game to ever be released on any console period and ill forever back it up and support the devs so they can finish her up, its such a good game the amount of fun and shenanigans you can get up to is unreal something my clan likes to do is get the payday marks hide in the jails at night with the fire axe and play "do you wanna a game?" id love to see the reaction on the others players faces when they see us all walk out saying it hahha, most the time we get shot on sight cause we just freak people the farrk out haha

Budson, there are still some changes and updates being made to the site; the site admin have been notified and are looking into it. It's nothing on your end; I've been having the same issue with the double posts or hanging posts. They are getting the kinks ironed out; have come a long ways already! :wiggle:
What do you guys think of the upcoming steam machines? I always wanted to get into PC gaming, always have been a console person. I gotta have a controller not keyboard and mouse. I know you can use controllers with PCs. I guess I like the smaller form factor of the steam machines for the living room. They look pretty cool, except the controller that comes with it. I'd probably get a 360 controller if I got one.

I think they are an interesting idea; but it seems like a very niche product. From what I understand, SteamOS is just a stripped down flavor of Linux and I'm not sure if they have substantiated their claims of major performance increases over a typical Windows PC. In my opinion, it's going to be a great product for someone that wants to jump right into PC gaming, not mess around with buying some crappy computer from Walmart or Costco that they hope can play some of the newer titles, and isn't comfortable building a PC on their own. I'm sure the price tags will vary, but the suggest retail prices I found look like they start around $500. For $500, I could build a pretty gnarly gaming computer with a HTPC case that aesthetically fits in with everything else in my entertainment center; but that's under the pretense of having computer building experience.

im a console guy too.. need me a controller! im pretty interested in this steam machine though, first ive heard about it googling it now, looks pretty nice! im keen for the steam controller though, i dunno if its been released yet i havent been up to date with this stuff for a few months but last time i looked it was seeming pretty mint! that'll make PC gaming for me a lot more enjoyable for me
