Live Stoner Chat Any PC Gamers on Here?

BFBC2 (Nam also) and BF3. I have a Steam account and some games but rarely go there to play. Forcing myself to play BF3 and slowly getting the hang of the game. It was touted as team based, I guess I have a different view of 'team'. As a former tournament paintball player, tactics and teamwork was needed. My system is not high end but gets the job done. If anyone plays either game and wants to squad up let me know.

Howdy folks,

Does anyone know of a good program I can run in the background of my games to increase the FPS.

I already use FPS Background Booster but I just need a little bit more oomph and I'll be able to get Skyrim running perfectly. I'm so close, just a tiny bit of lag to sort out :)

:Sharing One:

Other than that, I've been playing the new South Park game(currently stuck on alien boss pilot and copilot)

What're your thoughts on the game Ducky dude?? I'm setting up a few games as I type, the new South Park being one of them. Should be good for a giggle :)

The more stuf you ahve running at the same time as your game, the slower your FPS will be.

You are best to alter things in your windows driver, using the software your card manufacturer supplies, then you'll get the best bang for your buck. Thing like lowering or completely switching of antialiasing.

Anyone play frozen synapse? Its great when high

No but it gets great reviews everywhere :

For people worried about their identity being discovered via the gaming community, as long as you aren't playing on a dedicated server that is being run by the person on AFN you told your gaming handle then there's nothing to worry about.

Someone can only get your IP if they have admin on the game server, or TeamSpeak server or whatever.

As long as you stick to games where the host can't match an IP to a handle then you're ok.

I just bought TitanFall, anyone else got that ?

Having said that about game boosters, the good ones defrag your RAM and pull a few other tricks then sit in the background taking up hardly any resources. I used to use this one :

It's not just IP's you have to worry about steely; things like clan tags, gamer ID's, Steam ID's, can all identify you. There are also tools for IP sniffing that can be used on game servers; you don't have to have admin to be able to root out someone's IP. Certain games also have consoles enabled, sometimes you can see in the console connecting IP's on a server.

Game clans usually have their own forums and communities too; so that's just another intrusion outlet. If I see your clan tag, would take me 2 seconds to look up your clan site; see if you post in it; see if you post pictures in it, etc etc. Gamers love showing their pasty white mugs on gaming forums (especially when they get the ONE girl gamer to join their clan.)

Furthermore, most games use some form of VOIP nowadays, so if you choose to use a mic, you're also telling your AFN gaming buddies what you sound like, your gender, giving them a rough idea of your real age, etc etc.

I'm not saying don't go game it up with AFN buddies, but I am saying I think you should use common sense, discretion, be fully aware of the risks that you're taking; and if you do get gamer tags/handles on here, you should do it in private.

You do what you want for sure; but there are risks and we just want to make sure it's not taken lightly. :Sharing One:

That's true, i feel irresonsible now, made a stoned post that i hadn't thought through deeply at all !!

(not done that before ;+} )

Yes very true, best to be safe. But IP sniffers and the like are all man in the middle attacks and people with console access are usually game server admins but you're right, there's a little trail left that isn't hard to follow if you link up social media accounts to game accounts etc ...
