Hey people

just ordered myself some air pots after doing a couple of grows, been reading up on them for a while and in a couple of weeks I'll be putting them to use

just wondered if any of you had any tips on watering? Soil? Anyone use anything at the bottom to stop any soil draining away?

I'm all ears :)

Scales

Don't put anything in the bottom but keep them in a runoff tray. When you fill with your mix just firm it down a little as you fill the and fill up to the very top because it will settle down as you water.I also water slowly and wait a few minutes then add some more water.

Yeah!
Take a hammer rite, (Ideally if you can get one like the god thor has) and give it an almighty whack as hard as you can.

Hello, im as well thinking to order another set of air pots of 3 gal (11 liters) and would if it good idea to invest in those for Secret Jardin DS60?

The plan was to use 3 gal air pots togather with coco mainly.

Coco and Airpots:bighug:
Definitely worth the investment.:pass:

Sloping the soil from the rim down to plant at centre by 1"ish allows easier watering for me. Soil will settle further also. I do use a base in mine 1-2" up, I like the idea of air getting right around it all. Used air pots first time last grow and won't be going back.

Also from Canada ... Thinking of picking up some air pots on the weekend ... seems like every grow I see on here there using them with great results !

I wouldn't use any other pot and especially smart pots
