Anyone know of any outdoor winter growers

I'm in zone 9b in california and i'm planning on putting up a hoop house for my photos in the spring. Im thinking about putting it up early for a winter auto crop, anyone know, or hear about this being done before?

My thought is that if i add supplemental lighting from about midnight to sunrise it would provide the heat i need to avoid Frost damage.

In 9b as well, last March... just looked at the dates on the photos... first week of March I tossed a few out in a pop up greenhouse, 4x8'. No heat no light. I would figure what your thinking is doable.

That's a nice little tent. You have a bit of an advantage over me with the thermal mass of all that concrete and a structure, but it's great to hear someone had has success with what im thinking about trying.

I knew a guy who tried to grow outside in the winter, but the -25°C was bit too cold for the plants :/
