Just wondering what everybody thinks? Their epistar and Bridgelux led's so they sound legit to me.

Whats everyone think of the 5w lamps too???

Far as I know, no one here is using any lights with 5 watt LEDs. They are still relatively new in the growing world and are only now starting to show up in production units. I do know that several people have bought lights from that site, so they seem very legit.

I have been using light with 5w chips for 8 months now and there awsome (cheak out my grow diary). And a friend on here and the real world lol Hugh Jardon is using a prakasa light. My 5w lights are from Grownorthern,check out there website.

Yepp i think im gonna pull the trigger on these lights, not a bad price too.

Can i put seedlings and small plants under these too?? - or wud u recommend getting a 90w too?

I don't see why not. I've grown plant full cycle under my LEDs. I would find out first what the manufacturer suggests on the height of the light above the plants. Some of the newer, higher intensity LEDs have bleached leaves when set too close to the canopy top.

Yesterday I heard mention of 5W chip diodes whilest staring into my 3W's thinking.. "Why?"

Haight Solid State has been using 5 watt LEDs for awhile, but for some reason they don't seem to have caught on with growers. While higher watt LEDs may give deeper penetration and may be useful for growing photo plants, 3 watters seem to work well for autos. They generally penetrate to about 36", which is plenty for most dwarf auto strains. From a few reports I've seen, the 5 watters have to be a lot higher above the plants, otherwise they can bleach the upper leaves. Seems that some of the R & D on LEDs is moving toward different lenses, rather than higher wattage LEDs.
