That's a good question, but to take from the breeding bible the answer is no! Medic you are correct about genetics but that's not always the case, Candy kush photo is OG x Blue Dream but Candy Kush auto is OG x Auto Pounder. So two strains with the same name but different genetics.But when u get simple strains like NL, Skunk, AK they most likely all have the same genetics. So you may ask how are there so many verities when genticly they are they same. What a good breeder does is finds a characteristic he/she likes from a certian strain and decides to breed to make the characteristic they like the most stand out more or dominate the other traits. So the white widow from one breeders could have bred for potency, anthoer yield, another a sweet taste you don't normally find in other strains. Its possible to recreate old strains and make them your own, you just have to stablize a pheno not like the rest and your white widow would be different from the other who breed "their" white widow.
