im considering getting some mylar for my second grow space and was just wondering if theres a difference between the mylar thermal blankets and this other mylar made for grow spaces.

It says it "Retains/reflects back 90% of body heat" but that sounds like it just gonna heat up my space since i use hps.

This is clearly more expensive but is it the exact same thing just thicker?

i know theyre both mylar lol just wondering if the thermal blankets would heat my space up more than the other one :dunno:

I got the same mylar from amazon, if you hold it up in the light you can see thru it! I have tent now so i dont use it but i had taped it to cardbord so that it wouldnt be a problem. the mylar form home depot has a white side to block light from getting thru so my thinking would be if you held it up in light you wont see light leak. they both will somehat trap heat if you wanted to go with the the best chocie id go with the one made for growing if you dont mind spending a little extra.

the space blankets are very thin. They will work however, provided the are applied tight to the wall. They are not easy to work with. If you want to buy roll mylar, try to find 4mil its much easier to work with. I'm going to ditch my space blankets eventually and replace the with Panda Poly. Its very close to mylar in reflective efficiency and you get more for the same price. Also easier to work with. IMO mylar looks cools but not worth the money.

Same thing but the roll is thicker your right.You can buy the folded ones at Walmart for three or four bucks.Look in there camping section.
