Are they fox tailing or just swelling?

My plant is an auto purple from pyramid seeds. She is day 54 from seed and day 31 of flower. I know in week 5 the buds are supposed to swell but my are growing vertically really fast and the new growth is skinnier. I know the pics r under the HPS but i hope u can see the new growth im talking aboit well enough to help me fig out whats going on. This is my first grow in 9 yrs and first auto grow ever

Ive read they foxtail bc of heat? Also does fox tailing hurt anything?

After i came home from work and seen how much the tops have grown they r def fox tailing. Does this hurt the final product at all? Is the foxtail good to smoke? Would also like opinions on how many weeks u think i have left. Im planning on roughly 2 more weeks...

I think it will be longer than 2 weeks!

I hate foxtails, some people dig them..

Heat, sativia dom strains and light leaks (for photos) seem to be the main reasons.

They slow the maturing of the plant and extend finishing time due to the plant constantly throwing out new growth.

I pinch them off, not suggesting you do. It's just a pet hate of mine and I never grow that strain again lol.

It is def sativa dom strain 80% sativa. There have been no light leaks every pic i have taken i have posted on here and only when the lights r on. Im hoping it doesnt take much longer than 8 weeks i have some photo clones i just got i wanna do a 12/12 grow on the entire grow. The fox tails r just extra smoke at the end of the day right? Ill take it if thats the case like all the buds r fox tailing so thats like an extra 7gs plus lol

Sativia Dom's can run overtime unfortunately, your girls do look very nice!
