New Grower auto anubis

Day 6

IMAG0028.jpgIMAG0029.jpg
Smoking some cheese and lemonesia atm. Getting there changed lights to 17/7 due to availability. I have read up and 17/7 should be cool. The airflow is working better than expected. Still nothing but mineral water for now.

Smoke on AFN !!

Day 7

IMAG0031.jpgIMAG0032.jpg
I Left the carbon filter off for two-three hours and shut the inlet vent but left the light on. The anubis stretched up and got slightly burnt 1 mm around the round leaf. I moved light and don't plan on turning off the airflow again. As they get bigger can the light be moved closer as it builds up a fair bit of heat .

Smoke on!!

Also can you over water and what is the symptoms ?

Overwatering and under watering show similar symptoms, the leaves will droop to say "i'm thirsty" and the leaves will droop to say "I'm drowning" :help:

At this stage you only need a very little water every couple of days - like half a cup full.

Edit: when your plants are bigger - say 40 days ish, they may be able to glug down a litre a day! The best way to water then is by the weight of the pot. Let the pot get light before you water once it's established :)

Cheers mate maybe need to cut down been giving them a cup each everyday. My main worry is the heat of the light and as the plant grows can it handle more heat.

I know where you're coming from! ^_^

What temps are you dealing with?

I just ditched my 250w light for some futuristic tech! Trying to get my light close enough to the seedlings below 85f was an up hill struggle for me!

Edit: check this out.

Hazy kindly sent it to me before i got my new light. (awesome grower!!)
Here's a tip he passed on to me

at the start they could be 16-18" away let the plants grow until they are around 10-12" away from the light and maintain that until the stretch stops.
Now if you have heat problems at that level - you gotta do what you gotta do - but there is an "ideal" guide line! :)

Blue, that ^^^^^ chart is brilliant.

melted 247, you seem to be doing fine, on the previous page you asked for recommendations on flowering nutes, I have been using Advanced Nutrients Sensi Grow and Sensi Bloom for a few years now and I love the stuff, it has everything you need in it so theres no messing with loads of different additives and it adjusts your PH to 6.5, very clever stuff but do not give them flower nutes yet, you will reduce their grow time and result in a lower end yield.
I have no idea how to post links but in the New Growers section there is a sticky called The Lifecyclye of Autoflowering Plants (or something very close) that I would highly recommend if you have not already read it. It gives excellent advice on when to switch from grow to flower nutes.
Blues advice above is excellent as always but another simple trick to knowing if your plants require water is to stick a finger into your soil up to the 1st knuckle, if soil sticks to your finger it still carries enough moisture but if it all falls off it is dry.
Good growing buddy.

Blue Yur a legend for the help mate
Will see if they're better with the light another 2 inch higher. I think the stagnant air may have been a factor aswell.
Smoke on :smokebuds::smokebuds:

Alrite Lion tamer I wasn't planing on it just yet more while I have the funds and the time it takes to get delivered. Would using just the bloom nutrients be okay. And at what week. Cheers:smokebuds::smokebuds:
Smoke on bro

Hey melted,

no worries on the info - it was mostly passed on to me by kind folk here at afn!
As for nuting them check this out first

The life cycle of autoflowering cannabis by muddy
https://www.autoflower.org/f44/life-cycle-auto-flowering-cannabis-5113.html

I think you'll need to get some grow nutes - don't start feeding them bloom - it doesn't have the Nitrogen you need for nice green leaves and veg development.

:High 5:

edit: you'll be fine on plain PH adjusted water for probably another 2 weeks
