Update, put the inline fan charcoal filter in the tent, anyone have any techniques other than settin in on the floor? Its taking up half of my tent xD View attachment 351360
I use zip ties and they are plenty strong. Or you can use bungie cords which also help reduce noise due to absorbing some shock. I have also seen people use tie down straps like you'd put on a trailer or truck. They're easily adjustable and very strong:

Yeah they can make a difference especially with a 400cfm or larger fan. EG, no matter how you hang it, hopefully you can get an assistant because it's a b!tch to do by yourself. It should go without saying but take your plants out of the tent before attempting any of that kind of work. Sadly I've seen multiple occasions where people have dropped all kinds of stuff on their plants and killed them.

Oh yes the wife has become a reluctant assistant haha, but thank you for the input, I might use bungees and then just have a loosened [but secured] zip tie for backup!!
